Spray paper preservative

I'm a papercrafting newbie and quickly have become ADDICTED to making paper curl wreaths like this one: http://www.acherryontop.com/articles/Ha ... ories-8092
Oh, my--gorgeous and such fun! I've made five in the last few days--definitely works up quicker than x-stitch projects which I've done for decades. Anyway, is there a spray that I should use to preserve the paper? I've read about Krylon Acid-Free and EK Archival Mist; would they be good for the wreaths? One one paper wreath tutorial, the crafter said she puts Mod Podge on each strip before curling--that seems overwhelming to me. I want the wreaths to keep their shape and last as long as possible, so if you have any tips, I'd be very grateful! Thank you.
