Alright, Thanksgiving is done and out of the picture...and we are on to the Christmas holiday season. Since the weather may be keeping more of us home-bound this month, why don't you challenge yourself to some of the challenges created just for you this month!!! Show us what you create with these!25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE by Amanda (mkcdaisy)
It’s Christmas time – let’s count it down. Start making your page on the 1st of December (or play catch up) but only get one item per day. At the end you will have made a full page to count down to Christmas. I will have a thread in the challenge forum and post the daily item there. That way it’s like opening an advent calendar and finding a surprise.

*****AD INSPIRATION CHALLENGE by MamaK321 (Kristianne)
Inspiration: the act of influencing or suggesting opinions : to draw forth or bring out : an inspiring agent or influence
Ad inspiration is like a step up from sketches. There is a basic sketch that you can pull out and use on your own layout but there are also a few other pieces to take inspiration from such as colors, patterns, title or keywords, theme, font styles, and element placement. You can copy a design straight from the ad or you can alter a design to fit your own layout. Most ads are 8.5x11" but you can adapt the design to fit any size. Remember, this is not a sketch and you are not required to follow every detail. The key is to really LOOK at the ad and find the pieces that INSPIRE you!

December is finally here and it's time to get all of your Christmas cards made and sent out. This month your challenge is to get your Christmas cards done! Here are two of my Christmas cards that I created. Now let's see yours! *****CALENDAR CHALLENGE by bamablue (Glenda)
Calendars, calendars, calendars. It's that time of year again. Time to dig out your prettiest, funniest, happiest moments and scrap up a calendar. You can start from scratch, use the calendar tool in MS Word, or use a template from the digital shop. It can be a one page full year calendar or a CD calendar - one page per month. Any way you choose to do it is fine.
Some digital kits in the shop:
2008 Calendar CD Template by Kim Hill
Family Affair Printable Birthday Calendar Set by Amy Teets
110 Years of Memories :: Calendar Stamps Set by Anita Stergiou

For Christmas, I always think of red and green color combinations. This challenge is to do a LO with the traditional colors of red and green and add either blue or pink to your color combination. So, your layout should have the color combination of (red, green, and blue) or (red, green, and pink). It doesn't have to be a Christmas themed layout as long as you follow the color scheme.

*****FAITHBOOK CHALLENGE by Keling (Sara)
Where do you worship? Is it a church, a synagogue, or somewhere else? Create a page this month that features the place where you learn about your faith. Perhaps, you may even want to include a photo of your pastor, priest or rabbi!

*****HYBRID CHALLENGE by FairyMouseMom (Egle)
Since this is the season of gift-giving, my challenge to you is this:
Create something in HYBRID format that you can use when you give someone a gift. It could be anything from decorating a bag, paper to use to wrap, making an envelope for a gift card, or a gift tag. BUT the catch is that you have to decorate it somehow by using your computer. That is where the HYBRID part comes in to this challenge.
Here I created some decorations for a birthday bag using two different digital kits. I printed them out on white cardstock. Some (the rectangular shaped designs) were just adhered with regular double-sided tape and the stars were adhered with foam dots to raise them up a bit.
Show me what you can do!!!
(Remember, you do not have to be a digital scrapper to do this one....you just need to be able to use your computer to print out something to use.) *****IT’S ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE by Art_Teacher (Laura), Guest DCTM
Scrap Christmas photos, using papers and embellishments that do not come from a Christmas-oriented kit. Make your own embellishments, use non-traditional colors, etc.
In my sample, I used Marcie Reckinger's 'Nevaeh Mist' kit. The chipboard star is by Melany Violette.

It's the holiday season and you can find a ton of movies on TV and DVD made especially for this time of year. Here's my question to you: if your life were a holiday movie, which one would it be? And why? There are plenty to choose from, so let's see what movie you think best represents you and/or your family during the holiday season.
