Here is how this Challenge works:
Each day of the month has a "wacky holiday" attached to it. Most of the holidays are WACKY and wild...and some not as much...but ALL are actual holidays.YES, I DO MY RESEARCH. Each month I will post the prompts for that month. Your challenge is to pick a day/holiday that I have added to the calendar and base your layout around that theme. My hopes are that these actual holidays will inspire you to pull out old photos and scrap memories long forgotten, or create new ones and celebration!
There is also a theme for the month shown at the top and/or bottom of the calendar. If you choose the theme of the month, your name will be entered twice in the drawing for a winner.
THE RULES:
~Your layout must be NEW - can be paper or digital and have at least one photo.
~Cards are NOT ALLOWED THIS MONTH
~The holiday that you choose must be one that is featured on the calendar that I have provided.
~ Post your layout in the gallery and to this thread by The last day of the month at midnight, and please note which day you chose AND how it is relevant to the holiday.
~You may post as many times as you want, but your name will only go in the drawing once
(unless you get at additional entry for using the monthly theme or OCCASIONAL twist.)
~If you use the theme of the month for the bonus entry, PLEASE put that into your post when you submit.
~To qualify for the bonus entry, I must be able to see the relevance of the layout to the theme.
~You may combine with one other monthly Challenge that allows it.
One randomly chosen Cherry will be chosen for a $5 ACOT GC from me!

December is a very full month, and I wanted to give you all plenty of time to select your holiday and scrap about it. Here is the Calendar that I have curated for you all! Again, ALL days are actual holidays and I encourage you to look up the one or ones that you are interested in !
For this month, I am going to change it up a bit.
Since everyone is already creating Christmas Cards for the season and other challenges,
I am omitting cards form this month's entries in hopes that we all find a quiet moment to scrap.
I have chosen December 9th, GREEN MONDAY as my wacky holiday. Here is my layout to support that:
My daughter is all in green in this layout, and the main color is green.
The premise behind the holiday is to actually GO SHOPPING for your gifts rather than ordering online, which causes lots of waste for paper products involved in shipping, etc. We were in Mexico and she did a LOT of Christmas gift shopping while we were there! THIS daughter does not believe in social media, online shopping, or emails unless for work. She is a face to face, real life, cook your own meals and give the brick n mortar stores the credit for your purchases kind of girl. **My other daughter is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!!
