Okay DCs that are playing along...here are the guidelines for your art journal entries.

The journal pages measure 6" x 8" and there are 16 pages total in the journal.

Each Cherry will do a 2 page spread. Design is your choice as long as it does not have dimension that will make the journal "lumpy" and difficult to close.

Next, you will add something to the prior Cherry's pages too. You can add a stamped image, some doodling, washi tape, your name, whatever you want just so it's relatively flat same as your own 2 page spread.

Since the journal starts with a right hand page, I will do the first and last pages. The next cherry to follow me on the list will add to the first and last pages.

Inside the front cover, there is a place to sign your name and add a comment if you choose.

When you have completed everything, you will mail it on to the next DC on the list. You should be able to mail in an 8 x 10 envelope.

Please try to keep the time that you have the journal to a reasonable limit. I'm a slow crafter and totally understand that it's not an instant turn around.

There are printed address labels for each of the participating Cherries along with a list that shows the mailing order. I will also PM you the address of the person that you mail to next.

No worries... You have the pages correct.  I was trying to let Birgit know (she follows me) that she will add to the first and last pages that are mine.  You will complete your two pages and then add a little something to Kelly's two pages.  Elissa follows you and will add something to your two pages.

Here is a link to the live video that Rachel and Jess did... We aren't able to pass the journal back and forth between us, so we're just adding a bit to the person that has the journal immediately prior to us.  I hope this helps.

Sounds like fun!  Can't wait to see the completed journal.  Are we supposed to take photo's of our work and post it on this thread?  I'd love to see everyone's pages, since I'm second on the list.

I've included photos of both pages and the inside cover pages.  The cover is fabric washi that I will alter when it gets back to me.

The journal arrived yesterday.  Yayyyy!!!  It's more beautiful in real life.  I can't wait to get creating in it.  Hopefully time will allow this afternoon.  If not, I'm home all day tomorrow.  This is such a clever idea, Vicki!  I'm so glad to be a part of it.

Thought I'd give you an update on the art journal, so far.  I've had a super busy weekend so didn't get to make my own entry yet, but I added to Vicki's entry by adding texture paste using a brick stencil and sprinkling microfine glitter over the top to add some sparkle.

I have an appointment this morning then groceries and other dull errands.  Hopefully the rest of the afternoon will be getting my craft on in the art journal.

It's subtle but sparkly adding to the page's gorgeous-ness and textury layers. I can't wait to see this IRL!!!
 

I finished my double page layout yesterday in Vicki's Art Journal

Mediums / techniques used:  stamping, die cuts, rub-ons, ink blending, stenciling.

The journal will be on its way to Louise ~ Traveler in today's mail.  Thanks so much Vicki for this brilliant idea of passing the Art Journal.  It's been a while since I've done anything in my own art journals and now I'm inspired once again to pull them out and get creative.  This was so fun!  I was glad to be a part of it.
