Hey cherries, sorry I'm getting this posted a bit late again this month so I'll run this challenge through the end of April and select two winners.  Thank you to all the cherries that played along in February, too!

The theme for the March/April challenge is going to be When it Rains, It Pours!  I want to see you incorporate something WET into your challenge entry.  Maybe you have some photos to scrap from a rainy day?  Or you could pull out your water reactive inks to play with?  Remember, the theme is open to your crafty interpretation so get creative!  The inky requirement is that you MUST include a stamped IMAGE (sentiments don't count).  I have a few samples with techniques to give you an idea, I can't wait to see what you come up with!

On my first sample, I went the literal route and created clouds and rain on my bullet journal pages.  For the inky requirement I stamped the bear, hedgehog and fox playing in the rain.  I also used a water brush and my Catherine Pooler inks (they are water reactive) to color the animals:


I ink blended a blue background and used a striped cover plate on this card to simulate the look of rain, then added a die cut umbrella to cover my stamped image of a dog. The little flowers are also stamped images:


On this card I used a Wendy Vecchi dye ink pad in Sky Blue that is water reactive, along with a broad paint brush to watercolor the background.  For the inky requirement, my stamped image is the sunflower & leaves

* Your "wet" inspired project MUST include a stamped image
* You can combine with one other monthly challenge that allows combining
* Must be new work created for this challenge
* One entry per person
* All entries are due by April 30, 2024
* One random winner of a $5 ACOT gift card will be chosen
* Most of all have FUN and get those fingers inky!

The round labels are stamped!

I made a card, "wet" themed with ship/ocean background. The ship is the stamped image.

Do you have instructions on how to do it?

Here's mine! To scrap pictures of bridges not to far from my home, I used watercolor, watercolor pencils and Scribble Sticks to make my white woodgrain blues and purple. I stamped and fussy cut a camera, filmstrip and picture wheel/viewfinder.
(I also combined with the 3 in a row challenge.)

Stamp-fish net

I used photos in front of a waterfall and stamped rainbows (one on the paper and 2 on white paper - then glued on chipboard and punched out). I also stamped the journaling lines...forgot how much I love that stamp!

I am getting more comfortable with stamping and new ideas thanks to your challenge! Here I have the sentiment and a bunch of snowflake stamps that I put all on the same block to stamp for the first time. I feel like a pro now ROFL! So my "wet" elements are snow, snowflakes, and stickles




 

Here is my page:



I used a mist on the background, a marker to make some waves, added some stamped images of waves or scales.  Added some fun mesh-y ribbon stuff...I don't know what it's called...lol.  Page pebbles, Nuvo drops and a few puffy stickers.

I stenciled rain with photoplay stencil, stamped girl/umbrella with Spellbinders stamp and colored her with derwent ink based pencils and cut her out.  Used Gina K inks .      A fun card. 

I used cloud stamps and embossed them on the blue pattterned paper. Ink “packaging” technique with oxides: lemonad, mustard seed, and salt

I stamped teh sea life creatures and then colored them in with markers and fussy cut them out. This layout is for the flood we got stuck in outside f the South Carolina Aquarium in December.

The sheep were stamped and then colored using watercolor pencils and a water brush

Here’s my layout - I stamped the flowers and greenery and the wet element (besides the ink) is watercolor paint to color the flowers (and splatter)

My stamping is minimal. I hope it still counts. The layout is about sitting through an outdoor concert in the rain.
