WINNER Louise's August-September Ephemera challenge - UPDATED
Posted: Mon Aug 03, 2020 9:02 am
The winner is sherelm. I’ll get your GC out tomorrow.
I hope everyone had fun. I have some ideas to bring this back but slightly differently in a few months. Stay tuned.
This is going to be a one time challenge, and I am giving at least 2 months so we have time to get everyone involved.
For this challenge, I will send you some stuff and you will take a photo of it and then use it on or more projects. Each person will get something different, and some will get special instructions and some will not. I want it to be fun so the items and special instructions will not be that difficult. Mostly they will be small items like sequins and ephemera that fit in a regular envelope.
AUG 11 UPDATES: Sign-ups are closed. I hope everyone who wanted to participate got to PM me in time. Everything will be mailed by the end of August (hopefully sooner so you have all of September to participate).
When you receive your envelope, don't forget to post in the tracking thread that you got it.
I know many of you are working on Disney. Unfortunately, I can't find my Disney stuff, I have done at least 2 Disney albums, but not recently, and have a huge folder of Disney ephemera and scrap stuff, but I think it is in the attic behind some bigger boxes so I can't get to it.
If you have Chipboard or a white die-cut or something similar, feel free to color it before you use it. Actually, feel free to color or ink anything that you receive.
If you would like to participate, please send me a PM with your mailing address by August 10. Let me know if there are subjects you are particularly working on (perhaps you are trying to get caught up on Halloween's past) or things you never scrap (perhaps you hate Halloween and never scrap it ever). If you are scrapping a vacation from a particular place or 2, please let me know the places (I have lots of location specific ephemera). Please let me know if there are colors you hate and will not scrap. If you would like to participate digitally, send me a PM with your email address and I will send you digital stuff (hat I have the rights to send). If you live outside the US, I might do something different so the postage doesn't get too much.
Rules:
1. Take a photo of what you receive before you start working, and post the photo with your complete project.
2. Unless your specific instructions say otherwise, then you must use all the items provided. If you re unable to use them on one project, then submit multiple projects using them up. Everything must be posted by the deadline which is September 30.
3. Open to cards, layouts, projects, whatever. Combining is fine.
4. Please only sign up if you truly intend to participate. Obviously, if there is an emergency or act of nature, then it's ok if you don't participate.
I might change the deadline if things take too long to arrive. I will award a $5 ACOT GC chosen randomly from the participants.
I hope people participate and I hope this is fun.
