holy moly... I'll be busy, lol! Love this challenge
2024 Layout goal ~ 14/100 2024 Word ~ FOCUS
I just finished a page and now as I read the information for this challenge I did not do it correctly.I used punches and a die for the title block. I also used a date stamp. Please advise as to whether I am disqualified and I will prepare to make another page.

a. Never - A layout using no flowers or greenery of any kind
2. If you were to plant a garden what would be in it?
d. it would be a rock garden! Lol - cardstock only - I used plain white, Bazzill Bling black, and pink glitter cardstock.
3. What is your most hated gardening chore?
a. weeding - Use only one photo
4. If you were to describe the look of your garden it would be
b. a haphazard mixture of naturalized plantings - You create the layout/design and it must be asymmetrical
5. Choose a color scheme for your garden
c. girly, pinks and peaches – use these colors, can use black and white
6. Your favorite vegetables are (choose at least 2, no more than 5)
b. tomatoes (I know, technically a fruit, but still! lol) - bling/glitter - I used glitter cardstock, Stickles, Liquid Pearl Drops, and Nuvo Drops
d. peppers - stickers - alpha stickers and "She is perfect" sticker
f. corn - chipboard - key, flourishes
j. cauliflower - lace/doilies, etc. - white lace under the photo
Is there any way you can just re-do the title without messing up the whole layout? The date stamp is fine...I would consider that another way to journal, just like pens.
Laura
Laura, I am withdrawing this layout "Railroad Park" from this challenge. I will make another. I will enter it into another June challenge, so no harm done, I still meet a challenge and I still have a finished layout of my little babies - win-win!
Joyce Ann
Sounds good...glad you can use it for another challenge!
Laura
Done! I finished and uploaded my page using only what I was supposed to according to your challenge. As a teacher, I'm sure you often find your students have a hard time 'getting' the directions! Must be frustrating for you - lol
It's in the gallery you made for us.

What is the blocking method for a layout?
Mary Love is all around you.
Basically, you use up all the space in square blocks. Below are a couple of my layouts using blocking:

I had to use cardstock and printed paper, bling (red, orange, and yellow crystals), chipboard (letters), enamel dots (big black dots), bright yellows, oranges, and red colors, asymmetrical layout and no flowers.

Here is my layout and recipe. I can't believe I did this all in one day!!! I usually don't scrap that "fast"
A layout using no flowers or greenery of any kind
create your own background paper (misting, stamping, painting, on a plain piece of paper) --- I painted the color & b/w papers
Use only one photo
Use a sketch for your layout and fill the page/very little whitespace
reds, oranges, yellows
buttons
bling/glitter
pearls/enamel dots
brads/eyelets
die cuts

Such a fun challenge! These were my choices:
1. A layout using lots of flowers and greenery/leaves (at least 7 individual ones)
2. Patterned papers only
3. Use only one photo
4. You create the layout/design and it must be asymmetrical
5. Dramatic, highly contrasting colors… use these for your color scheme...must pick at least 2 contrasting colors (complementary opposites or red/white, for example...no pastels!)
6. c. onions = pearls/enamel dots
d. peppers = stickers
f. corn = chipboard
I. broccoli = brads/eyelets
h. potatoes = die cuts
I made my stickers (including title), enamel dots, and chipboard digitally.
