This is a Pinterest-inspired challenge, but if you don't have a Pinterest account, you can still play along using the photo prompt I'm supplying from Pinterest.

Here are the spec's:
1) Using a photo/image from Pinterest (or the one supplied below), create a new project inspired by that prompt. 
2) Your project may be a scrapbook layout, card, home decor, art journal entry . . . anything crafty!
3) Traditional/digital/hybrid are all included.
4) Post your entry in this thread and share your inspirational photo (or state that you're using the prompt), and then tell me what about it inspired you.
5) Multiple entries are allowed.
6) You may combine with one other August challenge that also allows you to combine.  Please list it here.
7) Due midnight CST on September 30, 2014.
8) Winner from list of participants will be chosen by random.org for a $5 ACOT gift card.

Here's my example; I was inspired by the school theme, the "apple", and the chalkboard made me think to pull out this patterned paper. I was also inspired by the metal bucket to use some metallic star brads.

LOVE the Pinterest Challenge!

This challenge made me get this project done. I have had this image on Pinterest for a few months. It is for my daughter's desk. I had the coffee cans all washed out but I didn't have the paper picked out. Today, after seeing this challenge posted, I told her to go into my scrap room and pick out some paper.

She chose Authentique and I had exactly 3 papers left of this collection so it was perfect for this project. I wanted to add embellies and washi tape but my daughter wouldn't let me. She likes it the way it is....oh 14 year olds....ya gotta love them





This is the image from Pinterest. She already had organizers on her desk so I made it smaller using only 3 cans.

I used the inspiration pic featured here. I made a card for my other set of parents for Grandparent's day next weekend. I attempted a "bucket" look with metallic paper and jewelers wire. My chalk pen just about ran out of ink on this... but I was too far in to turn back, gah!

This is my inspiration photo: I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday.
