WINNER FOR THE MONTH OF MAY is. .  . .shoorn!!!! Congratulations!!

Image

I'd like to make it a little more difficult both in the layout and the photo this time, I mean - IT IS NSD week, so why not go outside our comfort zone?

First, I'd like you to try and find the oldest animal related photo you have.  I found one of my father's dog when he was marrying my mother - the dog was just in the corner of the photo, so it absolutely does not have to be the main focus!  - and scrap that photo.  You can add more photos if you wish, and it also can be a stuffed animal, a wild animal, heck even a hunting carcass!! I'm just saying to make it an animal - this is the "pet" challenge.

OK then when you have that photo(s) in hand?  I want you to try and use this layout as your starting point.  I found I have a lot of little paw prints, animal buttons, etc., and now would like to use more of them on a layout.  And the circles can even be sewn,  traced, as the title can be handwritten!  It's so far outside where I go, I decided to share it with you ladies.

So give it your best shot - of course I'll count everything - even if that first husband was a "Dog" - hey, all's fair.   Just try to push yourself as far as you can!!

Without further adeiu, here's the layout. . . .

Last night I was looking for this menu (which you guys will get to see shortly. . .  Image )  That I saved from vacation - and could not for the life of me figure out where I put the stash of menus, etc.,  I knew they were in an 8.5 x 11 photo sleeve and were bunching up - but nope, couldn't find them.  So. . . . I started doing some real digging - and  found some templates I had "lost", a cutting guide I didn't know where it was - or if I had it anymore - and some "almost finished" layouts from  a crop I was at that I forgot about!!

Hope you get the same luck!!!

I love that layout!  These were the oldest pics I had of our cats that I hadn't scrapped yet - from 2010 (and both have crossed the Rainbow Bridge since).  I combined this with the BF Sketch since they were so similar.  With so many picture I didn't have room for tons of little 'things' along the circles, but got a few used up! (Especially those little ball stickers - now only have 4 left, lol!)  So thanks for the challenge-

Here's mine - I really thought this was going to be more difficult for me until I went through my dad's photos. Low and behold there was a picture of our first family dog. My parents had Cleo before they had us 4 kids. She helped my parents raise all 4 of us and was the best friend a little girl could ever have. She was only 6 months older than myself and we had her into my 10th grade year Image She would be 50 years old (in human years) if she were still alive today. So now you know how old this picture is Image

Wow Mildred!  You win the contest so far in finding the oldest photo!! I love that you found a surprise while doing the challenge!!  What a great find.  I love the way you added the little embellishments all around so daintily -  and that wash paper is perfect for a layout like this!  Thanks for doing the challenge!
