This month's winner is choosing Number 11 via random.org!!!
CONGRATS Anne-Marie aka scrappinmama99!
Your GC's will arrive shortly!
This month I decided to not take a theme and make it really simple. As always two options.
This is a photo of my grandmother approximately 1948.
Again this month there are a couple of options. Please let me know which option you choose.
Option 1: Choose a photo ten years and older that is a Portrait of anyone in your family. Now here's the definition of Portrait. In the case of both option a portrait refers to a 4x6, 5x7, 8x10. You can choose any size. Means the short ends of the photo are top and bottom. It can be a professional portrait or it doesn't have to be a professional portrait. You may include more then one photo in the layout or do a double page spread as long as one photo is in the portrait orientation.
Option 2: LOL....this is really geared towards Nancy!!!! Choose a photo younger then ten years of anyone in your family in portrait orientation as explained above. It can be a professional portrait or it doesn't have to be a professional portrait. You may use more then one photo in the layout or do a double page spread as long as one photo is in the portrait orientation. The key is you must use traditional heritage scrapping supplies to do your page.
With both options you may choose ANY of the June 2013 Nuts About Sketches Blog to get an extra entry. There is always at least one double page layout sketch each month for those who love to do a double page layout. You can choose to use the left or right side if you do not want to use both pages. Please place sketch used on post with layout.
Here's some more info!
You must place you layout in the June 2013 Heritage Gallery and in this thread.
Please link you layout here.
All layouts must be loaded in the Gallery by June 30, 2013.
A $5 gift certificate will be given to the winner chosen by random generator.

Here is my l.o. for your wonderful challenge! I found the sketch on Nuts about sketches, and my pic is definitely a portrait (5x7) older than 10 years. These are my great-grandparents.
FORGOT TO MENTION!! I also used traditional heritage scrapping supplies = K&Company Ancestry.com back ground and DCWV Olde Worlde matting.

Very nice layouts so far. I'm new to the message boards and putting up layouts in the gallery sections. I got few comments on my heritage layouts. Some people have told me to look at some of the Heritage challenges on the messages boards.

Justie a huge welcome to ACOT! I hope you'll pull up a chair sit awhile and find out the same thing I did when I was new! This is my home for all things scrappy! Without a doubt the ladies here are loving, friendliest, and most caring individuals on the web! We are a family!
Justie, I host the 4x4 challenge and the Heritage Challenge. I was one of the individuals who said you should post your layout to the June Heritage Challenge. Your welcome to use a heritage photo with the 4x4 Challenge if it qualifies.
To get your layout in this challenge there two things you have to do. Go to the layout I commented on and click edit. From there check the box Heritage Challenge, then scroll down and hit submit. Once the page comes up again, right click on photo and select 'photo URL'. Come back to this post. In the message board options when your typing a post you'll see a picture icon right next to the broken link icon. Click on picture icon and paste photo URL. All pictures in the message board must be hosted somewhere else on the web, and all layouts in all challenges at ACOT must be in the gallery. Your done then, and most of the gals will alo post a comment, but not required in my challenges.
You can have multiple layouts in my challenges each month if you want to and you get entries for each layout or card.
Hope this helps and I do hope you'll participate!
Thanks for the challenge! Here is a layout of my grandpa. I just love his portrait of him at 16 (in 1929!).
Laura
I decided to enter my maternal great great grandparents layout in the heritage challenge. (Option 1 what I base my layout on)

Whoo Hoo!!! I'm so glad you did, Justie!!!! Your heritage layouts are gorgeous!
Shhhhh......don't tell anyone, but I have this love of these older photos! We pay pennies today for a photo, I can only imagine what it would cost in today's dollars for photos taken in the late 1800 into early 1900's! I am sure it was an enormous sum in comparison!
I hope your scanning them to keep them safe!!! Oh, that's right I said that on another thread!
I chose Option 1: Choose a photo ten years and older that is a Portrait of anyone in your family.
This is my Mom in a bathing suit over 60 years ago. I don't remember ever seeing her wear a bathing suit any time.
You're My Star!

I chose to do option 1. My Mother-In-Law in 1935. She was 5. A portrait taken by her Uncle who was a photographer.
I went with Option 1: I used a school photo of myself from Kindergarten.
Kim
Here is my entry. I went with "option 2" lol - this is my daughter's 2nd grade portrait. From this year LOL!!!!
Happy Scrapping!

Anne-Marie I do hope you also put your layout in All About Me category. Beautiful photo of you! Have to admit I love the backdrop in the photo! Pretty layout, too.
