I am excited to be hosting the Fashion Findings Challenge this month!
What’s IN for November? Ornate Clothing
What IS Ornate Clothing you ask? Ornate Clothing or ornamented clothing that resembles the Baroque and Rococo periods - from gilded fabric to embroidery, plush appliques to heavy brocades. Other items that resemble these periods are winding staircases, chandeliers and the harp.
Examples in clothes are:
So for this challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to create a layout, a card, or a project that resembles anything from the Baroque and Rococo periods.
Ideas for your project:
Embroidery, needlepoint, detailed lace
Rich fabrics like velvet, leather and silk brocades.
Gold, gold and more gold. Gold hardware, gold embellishments, gold thread
This is open for paper, digi and hybrid. You have until November 30th, Midnight, to complete this challenge. Please upload it to this thread. Winner will be selected to win a $5 ACOT GC.
I will be uploading my example very soon.
Edited with my example:
The yellow, black and green pattern papers all have a brocade-style pattern to them. The leaves I cut out from pattern paper are flocked, which closely resembles velvet.
ETA: Sandi0805 (Sandi) asked me some questions, and I apologize for not mentioning this sooner.
1. You MAY combine this challenge with a Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge or any other challenge
2. Velvet ribbon does count, and you do not need to have anything gold.
Thank you to all the 12 cherries that participated in my challenge. Random.org selected the 4th cherry, and that is Annie (akgnere)!! Congrats to you Annie....a $5 GC will be on its way w/in 48 hrs! Thanks again everyone for playing along!

This one is going to be fun! I love flocked papers and have been hoarding some trying to come up with a reason to use them. Now I do!!:inlove:

What a great challenge and I love your page.
This page should work well for me as I have a few photos of some of the castle I visited in England and Ireland.

Can't wait to see those photos!

Ok, here it is. I found a DCWV paper I liked, added a old piece from a line called Harmony, then a sticker from Basic Grey. Alterering the colors a bit with inking and pencils on the added pps, I like how this turned out. I hope it fits the bill.
