August is my back to school month, sadly. However, it makes me think of one of my favorite color combos, our school colors. Like many schools in Ohio, we are scarlet and grey, just like the OSU Buckeyes! So, my challenge to you is to create a scarlet and grey layout. You may use black and white, also, as accents, but most of the layout has to be scarlet and grey! They look great together...you'll see!

Love love your layout!!!!! But honestly I love love the maroon and white of my Aggies!!! All kidding aside I have Ohio roots in my father was born there!

School starts on the 27th where I live at the ranch!!! LOL....girls volleyball starts even earlier!

And the itch for college football is starting to rise!!!! Oh how I can not wait to watch my Aggies play!!! SEC here we come!


I love your color choices for this month!!! I tried so hard last month and didn't have the colors.... I do this month though!!!! So much so I have had an itch to do an all cardstock layout for two weeks!!! Perfect!

Don't know if I can do this one...I live in Michigan, and the state motto is "O How I Hate Ohio State!" Not really, but there is a huge rivalry between the big Michigan school and Ohio State lol. But you are right...I will admit that scarlet and gray do go well together. Shall have to see if this woman with green blood who is married to one who breathes maize and blue, can come up with something!

LOL, Nancy! I would have the same trouble with a Maize and Blue layout. That's why it is a challenge! My basement is decorated OSU, and my cousin from Michigan can barely stand it in here at Christmas time.

This is a great challenge - but I'm from Michigan, too and my husband graduated from UofM. Fortunately, I do have a connection to Ohio as both my kids are Buckeyes, so it may just work. LOL!

OK, FIRST. . . .I know, I lost the "P" on my way in to work this morning (I have a perfect place in my office for photographing layouts, so I usually bring them in here). So I'll fix that when I get home. (The cats are probably chewing it to bits, and the dog will eat the P before I get home.)


I went into this very apprehensive, my school colors were blue and gold - so a stark difference. And I couldn't think of any photos I had in my stash to scrap that I could actually use with red and gray. . . but. . . then I remembered this stupid funny little photo from earlier in the summer. It worked great, and I was digging thru my scraps for more "fun" things - even found the little vampire gel sticker!! I had fun. TFL!!
