I'm a day late because of not having a cord for my camera....it was at the Houston area home. We spent this afternoon with some wonderful friends looking over some new calves of which two were twins and a beautiful new bull calf! Then a wonderful dinner of Akaushi Grilled Steaks!
I picked out a photo which I thought went great with the Beautiful Moments line from Carta Bella of my grandparents taken in 1964. On the back was written Red and Edie Merrill on the Chesapeake Bay Ferry.
So I thought because it's summer and lots of vacations are taken I'd do a travel challenge. So I can include the most individuals possible in this challenge to inspire you to get more layouts done. Pick a photo at least five years old. My definition of travel is very simple. Travel may be anything from a day trip, to a visit to family or friends, to a full blown vacation. Please use what you consider heritage papers and embellishments to do your project.
Paper, digi, and hybrid always accepted! Cards, too!
Layouts must be posted here in this thread as there is no gallery for them, by midnight July 31st ACOT time!
Winner chosen by random number generator for a $5 ACOT GC.

May not be combined with another challenge. I'm getting you to complete your goals this month!!! Of course if another challenge states you can combine it with their challenge then you can do so!!! Sound confusing.....I'm leaving it up to you to determine that definition!

Great challenge Kim. Had to dig deep for this photo - My mother holding me, Spring 1980. I was just a few months old. I guess the family was visiting the Texas Hill Country Trails:

Here's mine:
This is my Dad, leaving his homeland of the Netherlands, and immigrating to Canada.
Great challenge! I've been working with my Dad, getting his memoirs put into layouts to show on a TV. He has macular degeneration, and can't even really see the photos in his own books anymore! He can see it on the TV screen though!!

My dd's would have to tell me what year this was taken, but I'm guessing somewhere in the early 90's, since they were born in 83 and 85 respectively.
This was a true family vacation, not one combined with a work trip that I had to make, another reason why I know it was in the first half of the 90's.

Love what you've done with this layout with the colors from your elements since the photos are b/w.

I actually got this one done!
Summer trips to Grandpa's and Grandma's home in Holden, Missouri were always an adventure. These were taken sometime in the early 60's.

Welcome to the board! Great layout - you should post it in the Gallery as well, then people can leave you (more) compliments on it.

Welcome to the Board Figmrnt! I love your layout, simply exquisite. Ilove the design and use of elements. I understand eye problems as I have lived with them my entire life. You are wonderful to put your layouts on disc so you father can see them! Hope you will start a gallery as I know you could bring a huge amount of inspiration to all of us!
