Hello and welcome to the June 2012 poetry challenge.

I want you'll to create a layout (digital, hybrid or traditional) that includes a poem on it written by you. It can be one stanza or it can be several stanzas.

Please post your layout to this thread by 6-30-2012 along with the poem you wrote.The subject or theme of your layout can be anything your heart desires.

The optional twist: Do a layout and poem about your father, your kids father, your grandfather or any father you know. This would be an awesome present in a frame don't you think?The prize is a $5 gift certificate to ACOT. The winner will be chosen by me.

No the poetry doesn't have to rhyme. You can use any form that you wish. Examples: Acrostic, Ballad, Cinquain, Diamante, Epitaph, Haiku, and Limerick. These are just a few.

lol..I SUCK at poetry! But I might be able to come up with something corny for my DH for the role he has taken on with my kids!

I just thought of a little rhyme for an All About Me layout you could do. Tell us what you suck at. For example:

I suck at poetry
I suck at cooking
I suck at exercising
that is why my thighs
are super sizing.

Hehehehehe!

Your layout and poem are adorable. I LOVE poetry and write when the mood strikes (last month when my brother passed away, I wrote and wrote.) This is a Fun FUN challenge for me!! Thank you...

Sorry to hear about your loss.

When things happen in our lives, writing is a good outlet.

When my parents divorced, that started my poetry writing.
