April Paper Guest - Earth Day challenge! -- WINNER!
I am taking a cue from my wonderful digi counterpart and thinking that maybe you all would like another challenge this month! Since April 22nd is Earth day I'd like to take this time to challenge you to create a project with the earth in mind. How do you do that? Stretch what you have and reuse, repurpse, recycle! I know we've all done this before, but I thought it was appropriate, given the proximity to Earth Day:

I'd like to see you create a layout or project, then create a second layout, project, or card using the scraps from the first. Digi gals can take part, too! Since it takes energy to create each available kit, you can be Earth friendly by creating two (or more!) projects from the same kit.

AND... want extra credit? Repurpose or reuse some old item around the house by
making it a part of your project. This could be anything
from buttons off an old shirt used on a layout, to an old frame you alter to fit your new
decorating style. Anything goes!

This challenge ends on April 30th. That gives you three weeks! Upload your project to the appropriate gallery by midnight on the 30th, and make sure you include pictures of each part - the first and second (or more!) projects that you did - so we can see how you used your scraps.

Don't forget, because there will be an ACOT gift card for one randomly lucky participant. :-D Let us know how you've repurposed an item for the extra credit and you'll be entered twice into the random drawing for the gift card. :-D :-D

Thank you to all who played along! I know it was a busy time for all, what with the return of pretty weather for some and the awesome crop weekend for all, so I appreciate the wonderful entries you came up with! And (I'm sorry that this is late... we went out of town and I am just getting to it now that we are back) the random winner of the $10 GC, pulled from a hat by my son, is... Susanne_79! Thank you again to everyone who played!

I LOVE it Cortney! I'm always saving stuff (cute packaging, boxes, etc.) to use...haven't used any in a while (where's the embarrassed smiley?).

I'll have to see what I can come up with...I know I've at least got a layout and a card in me!

This sounds so fun!  I keep telling myself to try to use some of my old (not nice enough to give to Goodwill) clothes on layouts!

Re: April Paper Guest - Earth Day challenge!
For the extra credit, do we have to use the same items from the first 2 pages?? Or can we just alter something completely new with old stash we have??

Re: April Paper Guest - Earth Day challenge!
Thanks Susanne and Rita for taking my challenge!  I'd love to see some more - there are 10 days left, and a GC for a prize!  There is a gallery for this - it's called April Paper GCT Challenge.

And just to clarify, you only need to do at least two layouts OR project OR some combination thereof (so a layout and a card would be fine, or a layout and an alterred item, ,or two layouts, yadda yadda), and the extra credit does NOT require an additional project, just that you repurpose some officially non-scrapping item from your home by using it for one of your layouts or projects, like fabric from old clothes on a layout, or an old frame that you alter, etc. - the possibilites are endless!
