Basically, this is how it would work (I saw this at another site and it is a rocking idea...I think) I would still pm all CT members to get votes from them, but I would also pm 10 RANDOM members of the board to get votes from them. The board members would not be the same every month and they would not be participants in that month's contest.So what do you think?

I think it's a great idea Sus--everybody here is what makes this board as awesome as it is. Their opinion should count in contests too!

wanted to add that those 10 member chosen monthly would have to be on the downlow and not post who they voted for or even that they were asked.

Well, I feel like this would lead to contests being "popularlity contests," where people vote for their friends or those people that are more popular on the board.
I guess the same situation stands with the CT picking the winners, but I know many of those ladies aren't that active on the board, so they aren't as biased by "who's who" at ACOT.
Just my 2 cents...

BTW, I don't want to imply that the CT chooses winners based on popularity, because I know several of the winners lately don't hang out here.

I have a random number generator and basically I will write down active members during the month and then plug them into the generator and whichever 10 pop out is who it will be. Also, they will not be albe to vote back to back months. They will not even be placed in the generator. Hope that helps some, Leslie!

I voted Yes. I think it's a fun idea! Would be wonderful for us "commoners" hehehe, to get a say too. Yes, there's always a risk that someone might vote for a friend, but I'm thinking one person out of the numerous who are voting would probably not be too bad.

I'm here constantly but haven't submitted anything to the gallery in *cough, cough* ages.... but I'd still love to help judge :)

My first thought was no, after reading just the question, because people might vote for their friends instead of really considering all the LOs. But then I read how you actually would select the people for the "board," and I think it could work and be fun! I say give it a try for one or two months and see how it goes!
