AD INSPIRATION CHALLENGE by MamaK321 (Kristianne)
Ad inspiration is about taking ideas, such as colors, patterns, title or keywords, theme, font styles, and element placement, and using them to create your own layout. You can break the ad inspiration down to a basic sketch, copy a prominent design straight from the ad, or you can alter a design to fit your own layout. Most ads are 8.5x11" but you can
adapt the ad to fit any size. Remember, this is not a sketch and you are not required to follow every detail. The key is to really LOOK at the ad and find the pieces that INSPIRE you!

I can't believe it's June already! Time for Father's Day! With a
hubby, dad, and stepdad I've got to get started on my Father's Day
cards. I would like for you to show your dad or hubby just how special
they are to you by making them a handmade card. I would also like to
see you use a monogram on your cards.

CUT IT OUT CHALLENGE by davsar (Sarah, Guest CT)
Cut it Out - you're kidding! Nope, not kidding!! Sharpen those
scissors! I want you to take a piece of patterned paper and make it
spectacular by cutting it up. You can cut out the design and reapply
it; cut into the pattern and raise it with glue dots; cut along the
pattern and stick a photo in the seam - get the idea? The only rule is
that you keep to the pattern!

This month my challenge to you is to use those paints (acrylic, cats
eyes, glimmer mist etc) in a different way. Not just painting
chipboard! For my reveal, I used my cats eyes to ink the top part of
some Doodlebug paper. Hope you have fun and if you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to ask!

THEME CHALLENGE by Laura Fiore (Laura)
We hear it every day...time passes much too quickly, I never have
enough time to do all I want to do, I've got just enough time for one
more piece of pie (LOL), I wish it would get here...waiting is so hard!
Whatever
increment of time is on your mind, I want you to scrap it. Are you
waiting for a pregnancy to pass, are you amazed at how quickly your
child is growing, are you just trying to make it through a day? Scrap
it! Pick your time: Years, Months, Days, Hours, Moments...it's up to
you!

TRENDS & TECHNIQUES CHALLENGE by katarria (Kathy)
After visiting and revisiting Miranda's flocking class thread from the
National Scrapbooking Day crop...I couldn't wait to try flocking! This
month I want to see you try this technique on a paper layout or card.
Whether you're new to this technique like me, or you've been flocking
for years, I think you'll like the results! On my sample layout I used
Fun Flock to cover brads for the centers of my flowers, and used
dimensional glaze with Fun Flock to outline flowers. See Miranda's NSD Crop Classthread for detailed instructions on how to flock. As always, have fun! (LINK: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=188917&hilit=flock )
