There is soooo much fabulous talent here as of late, though, that maybe some people may feel intimidated about entering?  Just thinking....

 I think I have only entered two contests since  I registered here ( I think it was Nov) ... I will check out this month's contest!

 Another thing i thought of (froma  business standpoint) is getting people HERE in the first place.  Sometimes it takes a contest to get other scrappers here and then they fall in love with the place.  I know I did!  And I have met some wonderful, encouraging ladies here.  And trust me.... if I win, there is no WAY I am just spending $25 !!!  Count me in for over $100!!  The GC is just an excuse to shop!!   I hope people continue to enter though.  I think contests actually PUSH people to take it to the next level.  Think outside the box more.  Don't get discouraged, figure it is one more layout in your album!

 i Love the idea of them!  I love the prizes and mostly the chance to push myself outside my usual level/comfort zone. 

I do (like many said) sometimes struggle with the list of items.

Sometime I feel like in order to win you have to (in general) be using newer materials rather than "last year's" stuff and this holds me back a little at times.

Sometimes I think I'll never win anyway so if I don't like or am not that inspired by the topic I might skip it since I can only complete about 5 or 6 of the challenges/contests in a month usually so I might as well make them fun.

HAVING said all that I don't want them to go away; I am still hopeful one day my work will make it a winner and I had committed to doing the contest every month this year inspired or not (and usually I'm pretty good at these commitments)

 I have entered several of the monthly contests and even won a couple. But even though I do not enter most months, I do look at the entries in every contest and watch for the winners. So, if others are like me, there is a lot more interest in the contests beyond just those who enter. If part of ACOT's purpose in running contests is to draw people to the site, the contests are doing that even if the number of entries is not as large as ACOT might like.

I would like to second the suggestion of a previous poster and say that I also would rather have the contests start at the first of the month, along with all the challenges.

Also, I like the polls where we can vote for/suggest contest themes, and I like that random people vote for the winners along with the CT.

I hope you keep the contests!

I like the contests. I think I even entered one or two couple way back. I haven't  scrapped in a while even though I say I'm ging to.
I don't believe however that I would ever win but it is another good way to get you motivated to scrap.  I would seriously love to win since I have over $100 worth of goodies in my basket. And since dh isn't working I can't shop.
I do think it should stay in the middle of the month though for those that do the challenges too, you  would know you still have a couple of weeks to get that contest finished and submitted.

Also I have been asked to vote and it was pretty interesting doing that.

 For all the time I have been here, I nevered realized there were contests.  I check out the challenges, but didn't know about te contests.  I will be checking them regularly going forward.  Can't participate this month since I have no pets .

 I love the contests and enter almost every month.
