I had to change it up a little bit to get the words to go the right way.

Re: March Double Page Challenge - Part 2 **EDITED**
I followed the video and the cuts, but still couldn't get the paper with the words/icons to match up correctly. So I placed the cuts below - hope that is okay. I did though follow the placement of the photos (and sizes). Matted the one 4x4 photo.

Perfect!  I hope others see this post for an alternate placement for those directional cuts!

I configured my papers in this option because it made the top of the page look like a sun and the bottom reminded me of water with the sand on each side!  Also, I too goofed up and forgot to flip my paper when I cut the 6".  Oops, happy accident!

I matted the photos and added some stenciling on the solid cardstock.

This is so hilarious!!!!!! I have cut and taped and recut my papers!!! NOT working due to the papers not being good going other directions due to writing and picture on one side. So far, can't tell if I am able to salvage it.
Note: I think the papers needed to be geometric or basically having patterns that went in different directions. Not like Graphic 45 pp like I chose. But making it work!!!

I'm sorry the diagonal cut isn't working with your papers.  Go ahead and pick 2 other papers if you want.  I should've specified that a non-directional pattern would work best.  I have seen designers work with papers such as Graphic 45 with patterns/text going in all directions, however, and I thought that a messy thrown-together look might be interesting too.  I'm going to edit my OP now.

Image I made it work and love it!! Thank you for the inspiration and think it worked all together with the pics I took today to match the papers!!

It was a bit tricky to get this done in a smaller size, but I figured it out and I'm pleased with how it's turning out.

Re: March Double Page Challenge - Part 2 **EDITED**
I found out after I made the first cut (in half) but before I spent over 30 minutes trying to get the paper to be the way I wanted that my B side print was not the best choice for this layout! I wanted the big triangles to both be the daisy print, but oh well. This was before your note! I actually have most of Noreen's 1-2-3 sketches. This sketch was one of the few I didn't save, so I do appreciate the gentle "push" to do something out of my comfort zone!

Here's mine. One side of my paper had a directional print, but luckily the other side did not. It took a bit of planning and math to get the cuts to work right - (the engineer, aka DH) helped me figure it out! LOL. Well it was worth it - I love how it is coming along

I decided to admire the go to it-ness of my fellow cherries.  My paper had two one way directions and the one side was a photo like image on top of it.  Plus I picked a cerise color for my cardstock and it wasn't much of a match for a large chunk of the B side. So ... I admire your work and thanks to our hostess for her work.

Here's my pages for part 2.  I found the perfect pictures for these papers today on my Disney CD from last Halloween.  Can't wait to see what part 3 will be.

Sorry about that... if you wanted to jump in with different papers, it's still an option in step 3.
