Thank you to everyone who played along with my challenge! The random generator selected Amy Jo and traveler (Louise). Congratulations! I'll be sending your gift cards out shortly.
Hey cherries, I'm getting the August/September challenge posted a little early for you, I hope you like it and want to play along!
How to Play: This challenge has two requirements. One is that you'll be required to use the sketch I provide. Some challenges will be an original sketch from me, but I might at times use others I have saved. The second requirement will be to include the Inky Twist on your card.
For August & September I created a sketch for you to use:
For the inky twist requirement you must use a solid ink blending background technique (no stenciling). You can use one shade of ink or multiple shades. Here are two samples for you to give you an idea. On the You're Simply the Zest card I used 4 different shades of Catherine Pooler inks and blending brushes to create the background fading from light yellow to green
On the Howdy Sunshine card I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with a blending brush to create a solid blue background piece. I also turned the sketch on the side
The Rules:
* You must use the sketch provided. I will need to see the sketch in your project.
* You must use a solid ink blending background technique (no stenciling)
* You can combine with one other monthly challenge that allows combining
* Must be new work created for this challenge
* Two entries per person allowed
* All entries are due by September 30, 2024
* Two random winners of a $5 ACOT gift card will be chosen
* Most of all have FUN and get those fingers inky!

What a great sketch and two fabulous examples for inspiration. I am definitely hoping to play along with this challenge. Now if I could just remember when I go into my crafty space.
I chose to use just one color for the card - Dusty Concord - and two colors for the rose.

This was really fun! I made this card for my hubby.
Did some ink blending on this. Combined with Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego challenge.
Mary Love is all around you.
I used Distress Oxides to ink blend the background paper and parts of the flower.
1st entry - color blender the background in blues. Loved how it turned out, but I need to do this more often!!

2nd entry background blending with oranges, reds and pinks.
