Re: Challenge - My Town *UPDATE*
Here's my entry!  I hope I have met all the requirements: The word "cool" and "country" both appear in my journaling. It reads as follows: "We love the wide open spaces to liv[ing] out in the country. These seasonal photos show a warm spring, hot summer, cool fall, and chilly winter!" I have layered patterned papers and chose ribbon, enamel dots, and embossing (the circular arrows are heat embossed on the brown circles).

Kim...love love love your layout - your papers are spot on , and I thought those circles were bought cork - so cool.  I especially love your ribbon cluster on top.  Thanks so much for participating.

I combined mine with BF #73.  I used mist, dimensional sticker with pop dots (which I made), wash and ribbon, and chipboard.  Here it is:  Image

So awesome Bibi. I love it. The Blue Angels flew this weekend at Sea Fair in Seattle.  Wish we were still there to go.

Got it done! PPs, enamel dots, transparency, flowers and a dimensional sticker.  Journaling reads: We have not lived here for very long and so I was surprised to find a zoo right in our community. It was one of the first things that I wanted to do. On March 4th we went and had a fantastic time! I wanted to go while it was cooler – not in the summer with the heat and the weather was perfect! For a smaller zoo, it is amazing. From the articles in the paper it has a very active volunteer base and the zoo touts itself as the “World’s Largest Volunteer Community Build.”

This is the Unisphere in Flushing Meadow Corona Park which is in Queens NYC. This is in walking distance to my house. It is the icon of Queens. I have the hidden journaling typed into the gallery. I used the word "coolest" so I hope that is okay!!  I had the info tabs all set up and then they shifted when I took the picture. Oh well, you get the idea LOL!  Thank you so much for this challenge - I'm loving seeing all the layouts from all over! And the nudge for getting this photo scrapped!

Re: Challenge - My Town *UPDATE*
I wasn't sure if I had any pictures that would work for this challenge.  I went through Picasa and found this picture of when we went to the Children's Museum during Christmas break in 2010.  The journaling reads:  Indianapolis is home to the world's largest Children's Museum.  At the museum you will see the "Fireworks of Glass" blown glass tower.  It is a 43 foot tower composed of 3,200 pieces of red, yellow and blue blown glass.  Each piece is blown individually by a team of glassblowers.  It is so cool to see this masterpiece.

Here's my layout.  Sorry, not the best picture.  It started getting dark on me and I hate nighttime pictures.  The items from the list that I used are wood (leaves and star), enamel dots, ribbon and fabric (flowers).
