For the month of August, create a layout using your die cutting tools such as a Cricut, Silhouette, Sizzix, Slice or other die-cutting tools. You must use at least three die cut words on your LO/card that the letters are connected or welded together and 1 journal card. In your description, please list the tools and cartridges you have used! Have fun! I will award a $5.oo gift certificate to one random winner. Below is my example.I used my cricut for the words good times and fantastic and my Silhouette for the word whoosh and my journal card. Don't forget to submit your LO in this thread.

Can't do this one. I don't know how to weld, yet. Maybe my friend, Debamas can teach me how.

Oh MY GOSH!!!! I haven't a clue how to work DD's cricut! She has the original Expression and I don't know if it can even weld. But.....timing can sometimes be everything! I purchased from ACOT last month the QuicKutz Phrases Cookie Cutter dies!!!! How cool is that!!!!!
This is my layout. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart, and welded my words with Cricut craftroom.

Very cool LO! Love it! I need to figure out how to use the cricut craft room with my computer. Don't have it figured out yet. Then figure out the cricut craft room. Maybe then I can weld.oceanbreezes423 wrote:This is my layout. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart, and welded my words with Cricut craftroom.

I have several QK dies with the letters connected together - I'll have to go check them out for this one!

Here is my LO for this challange. I used my Silhouette for the title and yellow journaling tag. There is no picture on this LO because it is part of an album that I am working on for a baby shower gift.
Sorry about the shadow on the page I didn't see it until I posted the picture.

I haven't been an active paper crafter for a while and want to get back in the swing of things!

Looks like I'll have to learn how to do that "welding" too!

OK. I know how to weld, and someone gifted me a Cricut mini. So I go into the Cricut craftroom and it says I have to download the newest software so I do, and it runs and runs and runs. . . . .
So can we HAND WELD AND CUT??? Geeze. These machines were to make life easier, not harder!!! UPDATE!!!!!!
I figured it out!!!! I can now do it - I cut it out with my Cricut and was thrilled that the darn thing was now working. What did I do differently?? not one darn thing!!!!!!!!!!!

I die cut the title using CK Buttercream font for SCAL and a basic shape for the notebook page journaling card:
I used my cricut and scal for the tag and the words.

Great challenge Donna. Here's my layout. I used the Mickey cricut cartridge to cut my words.
This one was fun but frustrating at the same time as for some reason Cricut craft-room doesn't want to read my cart..have to keep jiggling it until it picks up on it! Anyway, Loved playing with the alphas as I decided to project how when we first practice, we are not so good, then getting better, then the best! I even forgot the c in the first "practice" but decided to leave it that way!
