Hi everyone! I am happy to be hosting the July Digital Contest!! I had so many ideas running through my head as to what the theme would be and ultimately I decided upon a technique that is probably one of my favorites -----> extraction! I know this can be time consuming and cumbersome, but the end result is so worth it. If you have not tried this technique yet, this may be the time to do so.

And to give you some inspiration I have attached a few layouts of my own:




I love the look of extraction, it makes your image/photo look almost 3D!! So give it a try and please feel free to contact me if you need any help!!!

Winner will be announced within the week after contest ends.

You are not eligible to win if you were the previous month's winner.

Winners will be selected by the designer and/or digital Creative Team.

Winner will receive a prize from the host designer.

Runner-up winner, if more than 10 entries, will receive a GC to the Digital Shoppe.

Thank you Kami! Well, it will defenently not be my last. Had so much fun with it. I work a lot with photos at work, and it is fun to use that knowledge and do something creative with it. Extractions is one of those things that I do most, but assemble bits and peices togehter and making sure that the colors match properly is a whole other story..

The more you do digital scrapping, the easier it will become. I was so unsure of everything at first as well, but then you need to realize that if the page looks good to you, then go with it!! It is afterall your scrapbook page and if you like it then nothing else matters. And the techniques will become easier the more you do them too. There are so many more possibilities with digital, that's why it is so addicting!! LOL!!
