Here's mine: it's a heritage layout; photo was sent to me by a distant cousin. My paternal grandmother as a young school girl in Iowa in 1896. She died when my dad was only a few years old; he never really knew her. I wish he was here to see the pictures of her that I've managed to accumulate from distant cousins and all the genealogy and information on her family.

This is mine....DD's school planted, literally, 5000 flags on the school lawn for last Veteran's Day. They even lit the display, following flag display rules that say if a flag is left on display at night it must be lit. When I saw them, I was so excited I could barely speak. They left the display up for 3 days....I think I went past it 4 or 5 times each day just because I liked it so much.

I've started 2 layouts for this and then turned them into entries for other challenges instead. LOL! Now to find another picture to do for this one.

You have to upload to the gallery, and in the section where all the challenges are listed, be sure to mark the "RED, WHITE & BLUE" challenge. Then come back to this thread and link your post from the gallery.

Ack!!! I've only got 2 days to get this finished! I have to unearth my scrappy stuff which is packed up and spread over 3 rooms . . . dd took over my scrappy room for her bedroom and DH isn't finished remodeling my new scrappy area..... gonna have to dig through stuff to get to the layout I started for this and get it finished up. Or, heck, it might just be easier to run down to the scrappy store and buy new stuff to do this.... and print pics off the computer tonight . . .hmmmmmmm...... decisions, decisions, decisions......

I love the layouts I am seeing.
Restricting this to red white and blue only really makes it challenging...if I do get a chance to do this it is going to be very last minute - can black even be used for title letters, for writing or outlining? It might just be easier to work on other challenges. (LOL)
