http://www.comcast.net/news/articles/na ... ayer/Three things really bother me about this story.First, obviously, the fact that this girl died needlessly.  Poor sweetie could have been treated, simply, and went on to live another 70 years to experience all that life has to offer.Second, I'm bothered by the fact that the reports that I've read have all worked in the reference to homeschooling, which leads many people to believe that "Oooh, see, those homeschooling families are loons and freaks."  The fact that she is homeschooled had NOTHING to do with the story, except that maybe if she were in the public school system perhaps a teacher or school nurse would have been involved.Lastly, I'm absolutely distrurbed that these parents may not be charged with anything.  I find that offensive and wrong on so many levels. These people believe that healing comes from God and they allow their child to die and may very likely face no consequences.  As a homeschooling parent, I'm faced with CRIMINAL charges every year if my paperwork isn't in order.  What a terrible message -- Parents can't easily educate their children at home, but they can deny them medical care for virtually their whole lives and that's acceptable.Discuss.

I have heard of this happening far too many times over the years. And it seems that the parents are always totally surprised when the child does not recover.
