i'm going to stay away from this and come back to it a year from now....it will be very interesting to see what people think then, regardless of who wins....soemthing very similar happened in my state a few years ago with the Governor...there are lots of people eating their words right now...its not called taxachusetts for nothing...
the other thing that gets me is that everyone is so worried about Palin because they think Mccain will die in office and she will become president. have we all forgotten that Regan was also 72 when he was first elected president...he lived through 2 terms PLUS..
ok, must move on now...

I love the coming back to it a year from now thought. You are totally right, all this utter nonsense will be forgotten then, and we will be on to the real problems that whichever candidate wins, will have to deal with and probably not deal with the way that people think he will.torysmom wrote:i'm going to stay away from this and come back to it a year from now....it will be very interesting to see what people think then, regardless of who wins....soemthing very similar happened in my state a few years ago with the Governor...there are lots of people eating their words right now...its not called taxachusetts for nothing...

BUT I just have to say that yeah Reagan was 72 but he also had Alzheimer's possibly while in office and was not exactly the person that I would want to be compared to if I were McCain. I realize that the Alzheimer's in office theory is widely disputed, but the fact is that who knows, there are an awful lot of rumors and complaints out there about his forgetfulness, falling asleep in meetings and such. We dont need our President to stay ALIVE for the next 8 years, we need him to be alive and capable of leading our country.
Oh and yes, I am totally worried about Palin as President. She can't even stick to her party line NOW (when lets me honest, they are ALL telling us what they think we want to hear), what would happen to this country if she were President? We would all be at her conservative whim, because it is clear that she doesnt listen to her advisors or constituents or anyone else.

Just like she did not know the duties of a VP.Pegster wrote: Ididn't watch the utube video, but it really doesn't surprise me at all that it is not. I wonder what point she is trying to get across doing that?
