Silhouette Cameo question
I have a love hate relationship with my Silhouette Cameo. Mine is almost 10 years old and I'm thinking of upgrading but most of the ones I'm seeing focuses on cutting vinyl. I have no interest in doing that and only want to do cut files for scrapping. Lots of the ladies I scrap with on a monthly basis use a Cricut but I'm not sure I want to change since I assume I couldn't use any of the designs I've purchased for my Cameo.

Any suggestions???

Re: Silhouette Cameo question
I bought a Cameo 4 a couple of years ago. It’s MUCH easier to use than my last one! I love the automatic blade but I learned that I have to make a bit of adjustments on it when I’m using textured cardstock. I don’t do vinyl either so you shouldn’t have a problem there.

As for the Cricut I believe that they have changed their software to be able to use any .svg file but I’m not 100% sure on that one. I had one of the original Cricuts from the second production. It would only use cartridges that I had purchased from Cricut. So I’d do some research on that.

I really love my Cameo but I have a love hate relationship with it too. One of the things I just recently learned was the proper way to do a print and cut. That allows me to download print and cut files from places like Katie Pertiet Designs. I’m so happy because I’m making my Christmas cards using that feature. I’m printing on washi paper I ordered from Amazon and they’re turning out exactly how I want them to!!! So that might be a consideration you’d want to look into as well.

Hope this helps Chris!!! Good luck!

I am still using my old silhouette Cameo.  It works awesome, so no need to upgrade.  I just love mine still.

Thanks so much for sharing all that info! It’s really helpful to hear about your experience with the Cameo 4 and how you’ve worked around textured cardstock and print and cut features. I’ll look into those aspects, especially for Christmas cards. My friend studying physics had lots of outstanding research work on modern physics but didn't know how to complete it. I recommend https://academized.com/research-paper-writing-service website which provides a research paper writing service, focusing on helping students with their academic writing needs. It offers assistance across various subjects, including research papers, essays, dissertations, and more. The service claims to deliver high-quality, custom-written papers based on your requirements, aiming for originality and meeting deadlines.

Re: Silhouette Cameo question
I had the original and it quit working well a couple years ago. The cartridge? - piece that runs along the rubber strip that moves (if that makes any sense) would jam up and not cut well. It was almost 10 years old so figured it served its purpose. A friend was selling a Cameo 3 so bought that for pretty cheap. I do like the automatic blade - so far I haven't really need to make any adjustments. I do cut vinyl occasionally but mostly use it for paper.
