I remember everything but the string...but, then again, I think I was still at the age when mommy put the Bandaid on and kissed the booboo. (and, yeah, that age lasted into my adult-hood.)

My grandparents seemed to have a metal box that lasted forever. I don't remember our boxes being metal; I used to see the little boxes in flea markets and flea markets all the time though! They were so cool

Saw the flashback Friday from today and went to look for others.
We have that tin we still keep band-aids in. (don't remember where it came from.) And yes, I remember the string! And also, there was never enough of the little ones when you just needed something pretty small.
