Thanks for the spoiler.
I love gymnastics, but I seriously miss the old days when we watched the shows on taped delay, and nobody told us the outcome ahead of time. lol I can't get as excited about the games now that we have streaming tv for some reason. I'm just not in the mood to watch in the middle of the day and then DH doesn't want to watch in the evening when he gets home because we can just watch it whenever, but that turns into never. Sigh...
Congrats to our men and women!

I’ve been watching the equestrian competition, the eventing for the past 3 days and now the qualifier for dressage.
I’m gonna check out the gymnastics at a later point, also trampoline, synchronized swimmingpool and springboard diving. I don’t follow the news at all (I’m a ‘doom-scroller’, prone to despair over the state of the world), so I don’t get spoiled much.

i used to love love love watching the olympics! but i have to say i haven't watched any in years. i did watch the London opening or closing ceremony (with all the British pop stars) because Shimelle was dancing in it but that was 2012. i think a lot of my watching stemmed from literally having one tv channel growing up lol. i watched everything on ABC because it was my only choice!
if i were watching, it would be gymnastics for sure. i was super into diving when Greg Louganis was a thing lol!

I missed the mens but saw some of the women's. Our electrician is here working on my craft room light. I know that the bronze metal winner for the men is a graduate of our Penn State University!!

No worries! Heehee! If I wanted not to have it spoiled, I would avoid social media altogether, until I had watched it.

My favorites are gymnastics, swimming, and track but I like to watch some of the unusual sports too.
Sydney McLaughlin went to the rival high school of my kids who also ran track so I’ve met her briefly and seen her run in person many times. My son competed against her brother. My son Zach has met many of the track athletes and competed against a few because he was as a college runner.

Today was the prefect day for me to watch the gymnastics in the middle of the day because I have a worker in my house all day so I can’t really leave.

DH and I catch the highlights during Primetime. We were sooo excited when the Men's Gymnastics Team won BRONZE!
I don't personally know her, but Ryann Phillips is competing in trap shooting and she graduated from TAMU-Corpus Christi with my cousin.
DH's cousin's son has played for the Pan Am Cup 2024 and the Aere World Cup 2022 in gymnastics. Trampoline is his speciality. He went to USA Gymnastics Championships last month and made 7th place. He didn't make it to the Olympics this time, but he's shooting for 2028!

Will watch tonight but it is very hard not to hear during the day with the news, social media, etc. I will still watch even though I know the outcome. We are all anxiously waiting for wrestling to start. I do not know any of the athletes personally but I believe my son has met two of them when he was at Nationals. It is our favorite sport around here

We watched both - and will watch the women's replay tonight. While I don't know any of the gymnasts - I did work with Brody Malone's aunt for a while. She is a super sweet lady!

Watching now! Even though I know the outcome....of Gymnastics. Lots of familiar names. I will pretty much watch any sport that is on the TV, it's all exciting! Well, maybe some I won't but the more popular ones for sure!

We watch women’s and men’s swimming and gymnastics! Our favorite of course is women’s gymnastics! When golf starts tomorrow, my hubby will be watching. Has anyone seen the rugby? Oh, my goodness, we saw some of the women’s! It is rough! No shoulder pads or helmets. It looks like they are killing each other! USA women’s , I think won the bronze.

I've seen bits and pieces of different events here and there. But . . . am I the only one watching just to see when and where Snoop Dogg shows up?

Snoop is EVERYWHERE!! & He has a shirt for about every sport! LOL!!!!
There was a gymnast from our small neighboring town in the 2008 Olympics. She didn't do too well at the Olympics but she had a phenomenal NCAA career! Bridget Sloan was her name. She was our High School Homecoming parade Grand Marshal in 2008. It was exciting.
