What's Cooking - 01/14/2020
Happy RAINY Tuesday!  It's been raining ALL day (and most of the night) and it's forecasted for more rain through tomorrow.... I had thought about grilling out pork chops for dinner, but once I saw the forecast I changed my mind.  So tonight, we are having spaghetti, salad and homemade garlic cheese toast.

I have to go to the grocery store when I get off because tomorrow night our small group/life group at church is having a potluck.  I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to take.  I'll peruse the aisles til some sort of inspiration hits unless I find a Pinterest recipe to try before I get there.  There's no set menu and the food won't need to "mesh" with what else is being brought.  I'd love to be able to put something in the crock pot and not worry about it while I'm at work tomorrow..... I know there will be taco soup, some sort of chicken ( they didn't specify....just said "some sort of chicken.... :greenwinkb: ) some finger foods and desserts..... anyone have any good ideas they would like to share???

What's cooking at your house tonight?

We went out to eat for lunch at our local bar and grill, so not sure if we'll actually be hungry for dinner. At the least, either eggs or a salad.

Like Carrie, I put frozen meatballs in the crock pot with a Sweet 'N Sour sauce.

Taco's tonight - on the go to a basketball game out of town!!

I like to take Chicken Tortilla Soup - easy peasy in the crock pot, and Taco Salad - too bad you already have a Taco Soup....
Maybe whip up a hot Chili Cheese dip or a Buffalo Chicken dip, with some Tortilla chips.  Those are great since you can pretty much just toss everything into a crock pot.  Don't forget to put a liner in!

Good luck, let us know what you decide on.

Tonight's dinner is Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff Soup and maybe a side salad.

Crock-pot....Frozen Meatballs with a sauce made from a 12oz jar of Heinz Chili Sauce and a 12oz jar of grape jelly OR a can of jellied cranberry sauce

We are having stew (made with moose meat)with dumplings for dinner tonight.  Since dh likes to fish and hunt, we filled our freezer over the summer and fall with halibut, shrimp, deer meat and moose meat.  I am trying to "eat out of the freezer".
A lot of time, I bring spinach dip and chips/crackers.  So easy to make.

haha... would you believe I went out to dinner again tonight?  Same watering hole as always, lol.  If I ever get to stay at home I may have some ideas!

We also had spaghetti and garlic bread.

I usually take Chinese cabbage salad. And I rarely have any leftovers.
