Edit for update as of June 1st, 11am:
Mom continues to throw up. Friday morning, they gave her the contrast to drink so they could do the CAT Scan. After about a cup of the liquid, she threw up.
Late Friday night/early Saturday morning, she had a seizure and they moved her to ICU. She's been in/out of consciousness and they did a scan of her brain and found "a bleeder". Not sure what their next game plan is as I hadn't seen or talked to her doctor. She was still throwing up when she "came to". I went down there yesterday morning and they only allow 2 visitors in the room at the time since its ICU. While I was there, she started throwing up blood! 3 nurses came in. They were prepping her for a tube that goes down her throat. It'll be to pump out her stomach and then once done, it'll be a feeding a tube. My dad was still there but in that little room, things got crowded quick. So I left to give everyone updates and go check on my parents' dogs.
My family appreciates the continuous hugs, thoughts and prayers.

Mom has been throwing up the past 2 days. Even on the anti-nausea meds and eating better. So they did x-rays on her stomach and will probably perform a CT Scan too. Still on the cardio floor.

DH and I went to go see my mother yesterday. She still looks very weak, but they are having a better time getting food in her. Pureed foods still, and she doesn't eat alot, but at least she's getting some nutrients. They are giving her vitamins via IV just so she continues to get stronger. You can barely hear her when she talks.
They moved her to the Cardio floor on Friday and will monitor her bp/heart the next 3 days. They performed an EEG on Thursday and the neurologist reported that there is a probability that a stroke occurred due to a drop in bp when she would become upright after being in bed for so long. That caused blood vessels to collapse then a sudden increase of pulse rate to compensate making the appearance of a heart attack. She's taking medications for that right now. And while she was on the cardio floor, late Friday night, it actually happened again. They sat her up and her bp dropped, heart rate sped up but with her at the hospital already, they could zero in on the issue and that is when they administered the medication.
No release of her d/c date yet, but I'm sure her being moved to the cardio floor for 3 days might push everything back to next weekend possibly.
And the issue with her having problems swallowing and ultimately not wanting to eat has something to do with her trachea. Just not sure how they are going to fix that yet. I think they are concentrating on her heart and low bp right now.
Thank you cherries for the continuous virtual hugs, thoughts and prayers. My family and I appreciate it.

Continued good thoughts all around, Brandy!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions.
I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.

So sorry your mom is still not doing well.
My DH isn't doing great either. He has to have blood work and an ECC tomorrow and then a stress test on Monday. We will likely need to cancel our vacation to Ohio in a week.
