Did anyone else toss and turn and have difficulty falling asleep last night!? I swear it was like Christmas Eve, or the night before school started....I just could not fall asleep!!!! I was so excited about today!  Though last night I also remembered---that as much as I love scrapbooking, I really struggle to get layouts put together.. trying to decide the papers, the embellies, the pictures..... How do you make it get easier????

Happy iNSD!  I always enjoy the games throughout the day, hoping to be on here as much as I can, will be in & out most of the day.  Won't be able to scrap today, so I didn't worry about pulling papers or pics, but will watch for any layout challenges with an extended deadline Image

lol  not quite that bad but have been up this morning for a while, just waiting (not so) patiently.

As for your question, I would say try not to overthink it!  You know what supplies you like, you love your pictures, and the subjects in them... just start piling things on without sticking them down yet and move it around till you like the look, and then start sticking.  it used to take me hours and hours to decide on placement, but now I just "wing it".

Or think about what really gets you stuck ~ is it right at the beginning when you're not sure where to start?  So pick one thing you really love (whether it be a picture, or a pattern or a colour, a title?  it could be something different each time) and just build around that.

I was so excited and had so much to do, I didn't go to bed until after 2 a.m. and I had no trouble getting up this morning!

Not last night but the night before I had on my mind red cardstock, large flowers, small pattern all night long, I didn't get to sleep until 4 that morning. YIKES!  But I slept like a baby last night.

Don't feel alone I also struggle to put layouts together. I usually have to wing it.

I woke up off and on during the night too - thoughts about what I had out and what I was missing. Still need my coffee this morning.

I slept pretty well (the wine might've helped. ;) )  As far as making it easier, I usually just choose photos first and then papers and work from there.  Sketches help me a lot, and so does my large paper file where I have everything sorted by theme and color.  Still takes time, though.  When I'm not feeling particularly scrappy, I try to put together "kits" with my photos so that I can do a lot of scrapping later. :)

Love iNSD!  I don't pull things together ahead of time, usually some idea pops into my head based on the challenge, be it a photo or a product!
