ACOT Message Board

Cool day today with rain coming in by evening.  In fact we are expecting measurable rain overnight tonight and into Saturday morning and a dusting of snow in the higher elevation tonight.
The usual stuff needs to be done.  Older DS will be here as usual for dinner before going to work but he is also coming over earlier to split the last of the wood from the trees I had taken down.
Going to make a nice roast beef dinner with potatoes, carrots, and biscuits/gravy tonight.   No wonder I tend to gain weight when the weather gets cold.  All I do is think of food and cook it and eat it.  lol  I may try those apple cider donut muffins today or tomorrow as well.  I did buy the cider yesterday.
What's happening with everyone else this lovely autumn Friday?  Fun, work, chores, kids or what?

woke up early... Tonight we're having friends over to play 6 handed euchre. So after work (noon) I'm finishing up the cleaning and putting together a grape salad,  potatoe casserole, & dessert!  To go with my meatballs I made yesterday...sounds like a strange menu...doesn't it?

Tomorrow I may get to start on my DD's homecoming pages. Well, at least one page...she stole the best 2 photos to hang in her locker at school that I had printed. 

We're expecting a dry weekend!!  Hallelujah! The farmers around us are in the fields and trying to finish getting the corn and beans in. Then maybe I can get my windows washed!!

I had to be in at 6am today after working till 11 last night. Have to do errands after work and then going out to dinner. Working all weekend, but going to farmers market sunday before work.

TGIF!!! I woke up with a tummy ache in the middle of the night so I'm really tired this morning but still need to go into work! Hopefully the days goes by quickly and drama free!!

I made the Apple cider donut muffins the other day. They were great. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I'm going to crop with my sisters tonight and tomorrow. I packed way too much stuff.
 I had everything layed out last night and half of it already packed when I realized I had finished all of the Christmas layouts in the chronological album I was talking. I had 3 totes of Christmas paper and embellies ready to go and no other paper except plain card stock. I would have needed to get really creative with that Christmas paper!

I'm coming to your house for dinner!  that sounds wonderful and I am so tired of cooking!  Tonight we have plenty in the fridge for leftovers (homemade sesame chicken, sausage and pasta over a bacon and provolone flavored sauce) but I know everyone will whine and say lets do pizza but nope!  We have to have pizza on Sunday b/c we have a new hot water heater being installed then - no water = no cooking = pizza nigh!   I am so looking forward to it and to getting the hot water (if you van call it that ) off this old boiler - which is all tied in to the oil tank! UGH, We didn't realize just how much the cute little house would eat us alive, now we are working ourselves to death.

Ah...  Brighter subject...  HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!  And I cannot believe October has flown by!  I have two partially done LO's on my table, maybe three once I straighten up in there.  I figure I can get the housework done and Sunday while the guys are busy with the heater install, then I sneak off into my own little paradise

Good Morning Cherries - I already have started my work day and am hoping it goes fast. I might stop at Michaels' after work and pick up a couple more cubes. I am hoping to work in my scrappy room. It is almost put together. Maybe I will be scrappy this weekend  Sunday DH will be gone most of the day so I am hoping for a little "ME" time. I will bring Tucker into my scrappy room so he can be with me. As long as he sees me, then he doesn't whine.

Good morning ladies. It's finally Friday. I thought this day would never come. I was sick this week but I'm getting my energy back. I have two unfinished cards on my scrap table that I need to finish and send out. I also need to seriously catch up on this month's challenges. I'm hoping to scrap tonight after my haircut.

My youngest has to go to Michael's for a school project. I have to be strong and not buy anything. I spent money on a scrap retreat that is finally coming up in two weeks. I have waited all summer for this retreat. It is a mystery scrapbook retreat at an inn. I can't wait and the best part is that the inn has a spa. Well you know I need to get a massage for my aching back after sitting all day scrapping

My big kids are out of school today, so we are starting the day off lazy! I need to get our bulletin ready for church on Sunday and prepare my Sunday school lesson- I teach preschool- and dig out some decorations for a baby shower I'm helping with on Saturday. Then DD#1 wants to decorate some shirts for herself and her BFF for dressing up on Halloween. Sounds like it's going to turn into a busy day!!

middle dd got her college acceptance letter yesterday so energy was high here last night.....and now everyone is tired this morning...
tonight is the homecoming game etc....so lots of busy stuff this afternoon ..weeeeeeeeeeee

Morning. I am SO excited, tonight I am going to a Mary Chapin Carpenter Concert with my Mom, Sister and Grandmother. I love, love, love her music. I can not wait. Now to just get through this blasted work day. LOL

Good morning cherries and TGIF! OMG this has been a crazy-@$$ week! Hoping work day goes by fast as DH and I have a bday party to go to tonight. I see sleeping in on a Saturday morning in my very near future!
