Good Morning! It is cold here! And wet! I am glad that when I get off work, I will go home to my nice warm bed! My dh has been defrosting my upright freezer for me. It is a big job since it hasn't been done for two years! Ice was caked so badly that the shelves were blocked. But not anymore. I suppose I can start filling it back up later today. I am defrosting the turkeys and freezing the dressing and the souflees. Seems strange.
What are your plans for this blessing of a day? Have a wonderful day!

My son goes to preschool, then DD and I will be going to Archiver's and using a bunch of coupons! Excited!
And then returning some stuff at the stores before heading home to pack for thanksgiving.

Good morning - I slept in until 5:30 this morning and I'm getting ready to start work right now. Will work today and hopefully get some scrapping time in later this evening. DD has on school this week but does have basketball practice at 3 pm so I'll be venturing out into the world then (I work from home most of the time). It's warmed up a bit today (27F) but it's crazy windy!

Good morning ladies. Welcome new girls.
I have to run to the county seat and pay tags for our pickup. Then back home to pack a little and then on to work from 12-6. From there, we drive North 45 minutes to the place we are staying for turkey day. Tomorrow we have to take DD to her Pediatric Gastro Dr for a checkup. Then a little shopping since we will be in a "big" city. I can't wait to go to Hobby Lobby and Michaels!!

Morning everyone!
And welcome to ACOT! This is the warmest message board you will find online!
I'm headed into the office today but hopefully it will be an easy day. Yesterday was a bit stressful but worked out ok at about 945 last night.
After work I'm hoping to get in for a pedi then come home and pack.

Morning all! I've been up for hours and already found my cherries, got the kids ready and took them to school, all the chores are done except for getting the towels into the dryer and then folding them. We woke up to a ground covering of snow and it's supposed to get bad here today/tonight. I've got to run out to the grocery store and stock up alittle just in case. Then, hopefully scrap alittle before the grandkids are back here after school.
Have a GREAT day, everyone!

I'm working and have to head to the bakery after work to pick up challah bread for my thanksgiving stuffing. Due for crazy winds and heavy rain here tomorrow. Hope it's not too bad since I have to work and after work have to cook and bake. I'm looking over the black friday ads and I'm so disappointed in all the stores opening on Thursday. I refuse to shop on Thanksgiving. If that means I miss out on deals by the time I shop friday that's ok with me. I know tons of people work on thanksgiving, but I really feel there is no need for stores to be open. I'm glad my store is closed, but I worry in a few years we may start opening like everyone ele.

Good morning! Last day of school this week for the kids. Working both jobs, so it's a typical day but with this week being short for work/school and a holiday........just has a different vibe. KWIM? DH is even off the rest of the week. Just ready for the break this holiday brings us.
Have a great day!

Good morning and for the new girls - WELCOME to ACOT!!!
Laurie - so glad things worked out at work, even if it was at 9:45pm.
Well, the SUN is finally shining! First time in five days. Seriously, I was really getting tired of the cloudy, rainy, cold, and windy days. It wreaked havoc on my sinuses.
Work was really nuts/crazy yesterday afternoon and I'm hoping the Network Administrators can shed some light on the subject. My client is getting a bit ansy, and I can't fix something that isn't my fault.

Good morning, it's another chilly one here so far! I really wanted to stay in bed, the past 2 days it has been hard to get up and moving for work! I think it's because I'm only working 3 1/2 days this week. I am hoping that the day goes quickly so I can get home and make the dough for the rolls for tomorrow night (we're celebrating Thanksgiving early since both my parents are working on Thursday) and then relax.

Welcome new members!
I'm off today. Woot!!!
I'm heading off to the foot doctor in a little bit. I'm hoping he can get me some relief.
After the doctor it's to the grocery store. I've already got the turkey, but I need to get all the other stuff for Thanksgiving. Then it's some other errands.
My in-laws are arriving tomorrow, their first time here - so I need to get and arrange some stuff so they can feel welcomed and comfortable.

Good morning Cherries. And welcome to the new Cherries! I did all my food shopping yesterday so I am staying in today and prepping my house for Thanksgiving. Then at 6:30 I'll be meeting dd at a bridal shoppe to look at gowns. It is supposed to get really rainy and nasty here tonight, but thank goodness the temp is at 40 so it will be rain and not snow! My doggies both need a bath, maybe I should soap 'em up and send them outside later lol.

I feel the same way. I wouldn't be able to shop on Thanksgiving even if I wanted to, which I don't, and after everyone goes home I will be too exhausted and will just want to stay in and relax. Nope. I don't care if they're giving it away, I won't shop on Thanksgiving. And I feel bad for the people that will have to go in to work that day because their stores are opening. I hope they get double time or something. Glad your store is closed Jenn.

I worked last night, and work again tonight. The kids only had 2 days of school this week, but school got cancelled today because the roads are really icy! There were multiple multi-car pileups around our town last night, event the ambulances coming in were talking about how bad the roads were. By the time I left work, the roads weren't too bad, the parking lot getting out to my car was the worst! And when I reached into the car to get out the snow brush DH had put in there, I realized he hadn't put in a snow brush...he put in a window squeegee! I teased him about that...not terribly effective in trying to get ice off your windshield! lol
We were planning to make one last trip up to Traverse City tomorrow to get things out of Christine's apartment, but that might be put on hold until Friday. DH is cooking a major meal for Thanksgiving and I don't want him tired from all the driving and then doing al the cooking. We'll just have to see what develops on that one. My 22 yr old son works at Walmart, unloading trucks and keeping up with stock. They are having all their stock employees work Thursday, just to keep up with the shoppers. He normally works just 8 hour shifts, but they are having everyone work 12 hour shifts in anticipation of high demand. So he's going to miss dinner, but there will be plenty of leftovers to be had when he gets out of work!
Right now I'm just relaxing and cruising the boards...did my daily downloads and I have an idea for the December challenge, so off to see if I can make it work!

morning. cool and sunny here. down to mid 30's at night but back up to low 60's by afternoon. Nice but they posted in the paper today it is a "no burn" day which means no pellet stove this evening. dang
DH and I have a lot of errands to run today. He will be exhausted by supper time and I will have a tough time keeping him up until 8pm. Going to order a day bed from Sleep Train so I will have a guest bed for the den so DD won't have to sleep on the sofa at Christmas when they come. Then Target, Staples, the drugstore and probably lunch out. And then to the scrapping table to do Christmas cards. I suddenly realized I haven't made a single one yet. Started envelopes yesterday so at least I can say I have done something. lol
Woke up early for some reason unknown to me, so I cleaned house already and it looks ok. lol
Have a good and a safe day.
