What's for dinner?
I'm making my grocery list and am going to do ribs one night and slow cooker chicken Philly cheesesteak sandwiches another. What are you guys having this week or tonight? I'm drawing a blank for the rest of the week!

Re: What's for dinner?
Cheeseburgers on the grill tonight, along with cantaloupe and onion soup potatoes.
Monday nights are usually "Taco Night" in our house. I did meatballs in the crock-pot the other night....put over rice and a few sides.
I don't eat dinner with my family a lot of nights since I'm working and DH takes care of those nights, usually something easy from the freezer. So I don't plan out the week for meals since I'm not here for most of it.

Re: What's for dinner?
Tonight we're having leftovers. Last night I made some meaty (pork and chorizo, with tomato sauce, garlic, bell peppers and mushrooms) sauce over Roasted Garlic & Jalapeno flavored pasta. OMG it was delicious!!

Since its been so hot, we'll be have a large chef salad (DH and I LOVE salads!). And we're also gonna make omlette's one night.

Yum! You guys all had good ideas! We had pancakes for dinner the other night and that was a fun change :) I just don't cook the longer recipes like I used to do so always looking for quick ideas! Will let you know how the two new crockpot recipes turn out if they're good...

Re: What's for dinner?
I don't cook much at all anymore, but I've been between jobs and have had a lot of time on my hands. The other night I made an italian turkey meatloaf and it was great, was my first time ever making a meatloaf. It turned out good!

Otherwise, we do pan cooked chicken tenders (boneless skinless chicken breast sauteed in non-stick pan with seasoning) with frozen steamer veggies. We do this at least once a week.
one night we'll have just chicken nuggets and veggies.

Maybe some goulash, everyone loves that.

Not sure what else right now, that will get us thru the week tho.

Right now I'm cooking up some instand red beans and rice dinner, you just add water and sausage and simmer for 30 minutes and it's done. Not nearly as good as from scratch, but it's quick and easy in a pinch. Otherwise, red beans in the crock part are great.

Have you checked the Share A Recipe forum here? Scroll down the main menu and you will see it. Lots of good stuff there. Since I did my all-day cooking marathon, I have my meals planned. Tonight is Creamy Chicken and Noodles in the crockpot. So delicious! It is supposed to be hot this week, so we will be having Greek Turkey Burgers on the grill tomorrow night and these awesome cold chicken wraps on Tuesday. I am putting the recipe in the Share a Recipe forum now! :)

Re: What's for dinner?
I'll found a really easy stew that is so yummy! It's a slow cooker recipe, but I did it on the stove top last week. Larry never got up to go get the dollop of Mayo or Crackers he usually has to have.....means it was the best I've cooked! Does have a little heat to it!

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emer ... index.html

When I fixed it I basically did the usual stew components I use. What I took from this recipe was the flour and spices from the recipe. Talk about a wonderful gravy!

I also keep Emeril's Essence that I mix from the recipe. I have it in my recipe box. Small amount and so much better then from grocery in my opinion.

Kim - I have a canister of homemade Emeril's mixed up in the cabinet that mom made for me. That is pretty much the only thing I cook with! She makes hers with no salt too.
