After 32 years and 6 months at the same employer, I was terminated on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. At first I was devestated and thought this is the worse thing that could happen, but now looking back and getting a lot of prayers, I realize that the Lord has better plans for me. I just pray that those plans will come soon.

Sorry to hear about your job loss Jeanne. But you're right - maybe because this door of 32 years closed, you might have many new ones opening up for you right now.
Good luck to you!
Good luck to you!

I'm so sorry - I hate when companies do that! I think you're right, though - the best is yet to come!
Remember that when one door closes, another opens. Scary as it may seem right now, this could be a huge blessing? Keep good thoughts!

Sorry, I too thought that when the hospitals merged that it was terrible, and I was on the chopping block. (I sued them, it was a bad decision for the - a 6 figure bad decision) Anyway, it gave me a job that I enjoy much more, with more relaxation than the hectic hospital routine, and a chance to do good for kids, and a second retirement. So I agree, while it's bad now - just wait and see. . . . ya never know. . .
That's a lot of years you've given to them. Prayers something good comes your way. Enjoy the time at home for now.

Do not get discouraged, he is making the way before you-- even if you can't see it right now.
I know easier said than done.

I'm so sorry, but enjoy this time with your son. I was out of work for 2 years and I had 3 teens. It seemed like they needed me more than when they were toddlers. We did activities that I wish I had time for when I was working. Things will look up soon.
After 32 years Im sure is was very hard to be let go, I hope a new door opens for you.
sorry to hear about your job Jeanne - prayers that some good will come of this - glad you're feeling more positive
