Heritage Homecoming, 2012
Our school, Heritage High School, was formed when our district combined 2 high schools, MacArthur and Eisenhauer, into 1, and named it Heritage HS. This week was the school's 25th Homecoming celebration. It's weird to think that I remember them combining, and this isn't the town I grew up in! I lived in Saginaw longer than I ever lived in my hometown, but I still consider Muskegon home.

Anyway, I digress. My DD, a senior, and DS, a freshmen, went to the homecoming dance last night. He went to dinner with her group of friends before the dance, and they got pictures together at the dance for me. I have a few (not great shots - I took them with DS;s cell phone because my camera battery died and I didn't pick his cell phone for the quality of its camera!).... I will get more when Ali's friend makes me a copy of the pictures she took. The hard part is, I can't figure out how my kids got old enough to look this great and this mature!

Keegan actually WANTED to wear a tie! All his clothes are borrowed from my husband! lol

Keegan and his bevy of senior beauties...his social status is improved simply by going with a group of seniors! lol

And oh, the price of beauty! We did Ali's hair in a very simple style...just curled the heck out of it and put it into a high ponytail with a fancy barette. Even so, it took me an hour and a half to do her hair! She just has so much hair! We had to curl half of it, then reheat the curlers to do the other half because the set didn't come with enough rollers to do all that hair at once.

They both look great in their attire. Love the dress and isn't he a handsome one. What lovely hair she has! She did well too picking out the dress... and I think she outshines the rest of the seniors in the pic...just saying! Where does time go? Yes, we want to slow them down sometimes, but look how they are turning out. You can't be sad about that!

Re: Heritage Homecoming, 2012
They look stunning! Just perfect, and you should be so proud of the two of them - they look like approachable kids, not the kind that are bizarre in more ways than one. I love her dress, too, the glitz is perfect, and good for you son wanting to look the part being a man in a tie. Good for HIM.

Our HS (the one my entire siblings, me, and Joey graduated from) had their homecoming this weekend too. It's on the news should you want to see IT. The dance was canceled. Some moron showed up with a loaded gun. Yes, lovely children we have now in that town. Glad none of us live there anymore. Middletown, PA

Wow! Too bad for the kids who went their with the honest intention of having fun.

And it was so cute...Keegan even held the umbrella for his sister coming out of our house and going into their friend's house for pictures. He knew she wanted to keep her hair nice as it was pouring down rain...guess all those lessons really DO get through a teen's tough skull! lol
