This is going to be a busy month for us. We have Book Club, Dinner Club, Valentines' Day and Mardi Gras all in one month and, of course, each must be given its due, right?
I have to leave around 8am . My sister and her boyfriend are up from Ft. Myers to go to the VA hospital where Denis will undergo a heart procedure this morning. I don't want my sister sitting waiting all alone so, instead of having Nana/Papa day with our grands, I'll drive to the city in rush hour (can you tell this is not one of my favorite things to do) to keep my sister company.
What is on your agenda for this gift of a day?

Good morning!I am off to work for a couple of hours. Later today I am going to do some scrappy shopping with some gift cards I got for Christmas. It is a busy month for me too. My moms b-day is tomorrow then Valentines day then my birthday! Its alot to fit in a short month. So far my hubby has the afternoon off so I will get to spend some time with him!

Got to FL yesterday and it's been a whirlwind ever since. Bought 2 kayaks yesterday so we could paddle around the little island we're on. Off to buy some pots & pans/dishes when the stores open and stock up on some more food. Good luck to Jules' BIL. Have a great first day of February, everyone!

Back to school for me today--took yesterday off to take hubby for botox shots to help his migraines. Interesting procedures, but he did very well.
Exercise after school. a few errands and then play practice tonight.
Our play is a 1940's radio detective show and we will be streamed over the internet. You guys can actually hear it, if you are really bored!!!

I've paddled around your little island and it is a lovely trip. If you get thirsty, I highly recommend the margaritas at the Lighthouse! and welcome. I am excited...you are now only about 2.5 hours south of me and only about 1.5 from Janet Millers!

How cool! My mom's bday is tomorrow too! Followed my brother in law on the 14th, and my dad on the 18th. My friends son' bday is the 20th (he'll be 4) and then her bday is the 29th! Well.....my day started with a new venture for me....right here at ACOT! Then it will continue on finishing up my reveal layout....and getting the article written....and, if time permits....start my wish on reorganizing some things in my basement! Add in some applications online for job openings as well.

Leslie, Hawaii is so awesome, hard to come back home!!!! Sunny morning here, which is usual and I love it. DH usually has the day off, but agreed to switch with someone who needed it for something. so I hope to do some scrapping. Yesterday, last night, I was on a major house cleaning spree, so I have the whole day to play if I choose! And to top it off, weather should be around 70, so open windows is in the plan!!

Today I'm going to attack my taxes - must list all I lost in the flood - and the IRS determined my "loss" for my scrapbook room was $18,000 - just that room - so now I get to go room to room in my head and with the photos to decide the thousands lost in the other rooms. (FEMA paid me 75% of the actual home structure worth - their max) So let the joy begin!!

it's another work day here, started off not feeling well, but most mornings are not good, I just have to shrug it off and it gets better as time goes on... after work I have to get my stuff put together for taxes, made my appt for Monday. Placed a nice ACOT orer yesterday and I am really excited about all the goodies I picked out and the great savings ~ hoping it arrives by Friday so I can take it with me to my crop on Saturday
the rain we were due was already gone by the time I got up this morning and the sun is out now, with a high in the 60's again! I am feeling so spolied, can't wait to enjoy a little sun and read a bit at lunch time b/c tomorrow the semi-winter weather will be back... it's been a decent winter!

Goodmorning Ladies,
I am struggling to keep my spirts up these last two weeks with worrying over finacial management. I have posted that we made a mistake in Jan and with payday next wednesday it just looks bleak on being able to catch up. Something is going to suffer. I just dislike to make "negotiating" calls to utlitiy companies,
however that is looking more a reality. It just leaves my heart heavy until I work it out.
Today I need to do some research for an upcomong project. I want to make my salsa I didn't get to yesterday and the cookies too. Tacos are on the menu for dinner and I have already pulled the meat to unthaw this morning. I will do a couple loads of laundry and fill the dishwasher as well. If I can get my rear in gear and accomplish this early I might make it to the scrappy table this evening without feeling guilty about it. So glad for our cherry forum, it helps just to spell it all out!! Thanx for reading!
