So every year my family does a tree for the Festival Of Trees for the Junior League
Of Saginaw Valley. Anyway, this year I did this wreath titled "Playful Christmas".
Well this is what I have so far but I am not super thrilled with it. Any suggestions/comments
are more than welcome. I think I have looked at it so long that I can't really see the issue with it
anymore. Any comments would be much appreciated!
Cute! I'm not very good at crafts but it seems like there might be too many figures, especially at the bottom (Santa seems to get a little lost). I would go more with sparkles, snowflakes, maybe poinsetta flowers in the same color scheme...something like that so that Santa can stand out as a focal point. I'm not sure, but good luck!
Looks cute with all of the toys, but I'd let the bow ends hang down, not draped around the wreath.

Ok...I do make things like this occasionally..
Here are some thoughts..
when arranging, maybe arrange in the clock fashion... bigger things on the 12, 3'0clock, 6 oclock, 9 oclock and 12 oclock.. fill in with smaller things one the O'clocks in between..
things with legs can be posed to sit on the wreath giving it more life... pose arms to hold ribbon..or embellishment..
maybe it needs to be filled with sprigs of greenery, twigs, or berry spriggs..
you can jazz it up with some prima too.
Maybe the ribbon can use tweaking just a bit.. the tail parts can be left to hang down just a bit shorter below bow.. or if you are going to leave it long, then fold or pleat it like a banner tucking pieces of it behind elements so that its more wrinkled and tucked looking not flat on the wreath...
I hope my comments were helpful...I love the elements you chose..very Yummy and cheery.. I just think it needs some of the things mentioned above maybe?

Clint I was looking at all the goodies on your wreath and had a thought...
what if you made a little felt bag that looked like a santa bag... placed all the smaller things in the bag poking out..and had the bigger Santa next to it standing in the middle of the wreath.. you might have to wire him in place.. then fill around the wreath with your irredecent snow flakes and ribbon. and spiral things.. that way all your bright colors arent competing with your softer hues of irredence items.. in other words fill the hole with santa standing in it holding a bag of goodies or have it near him somehow.. does that make sense?

Yes, thank you.
Thank everyone for the input. I am going to play around with it some more tonight and see what happens. The finished product I'll make sure and post so you can see what it looks like.
That is what I like about this board. Ask and ye shall receive.
Love the wreath. So creative
