is not having a very good trip to the UK. Every day a new headline about a problem or blunder or whatever. Yahoo has posted a list of 6 seperate things or incidents that put the first family in a bad light. sigh poor people and dang media. jeez. Nobody is perfect but if the media would back off, it might be a nice trip.

Usually, they have a person who fills them in on protocol so that they don't mess up.
There was a big OOPS when Queen Elizabeth visited and the First Lady put her hand on the Queen's back. One never touches the Queen!
It sounds as if someone needs to make sure someone is doing their job correctly.

My opinion is the President does not have a good team around him that cares enough to make sure our President knows the ins and outs of each nation he's been to about their customs, heritage, or what you do and never do. Unfortunately, this has been a horrid trip in this area. It's also not just our press it's British press, too. I really feel for President Obama.

I agree - everyone is willing to speak badly if it is not the person you voted for but I would like for us to return to the era of respecting our leader even if you do not agree with everything they deserve a level of respect.

Yeah, I'm in no way a fan of our President, but geez louise someone is not doing a good job with him and protocol for other nations. It's not his fault.

My thoughts are that this is true, but sadly the opposite party will always ridicule who ever is in office. They and many of the American Public feel it's their right especially if they didn't vote for them.

I have to agree with this. Regardless of my vote during the election, now he's our leader and when we disrespect his position we weaken our country. I think it's shameful that the White House staff wouldn't be more careful about educating the First Family on the customs of the countries they visit.
