for me to be in gift buying/making mode! Mother's Day, my anniversary, my sister's anniversary, my dh's and BFF's birthdays are all in the first half of May, plus my sister's baby is due then, too! Plus end of the year teacher gifts, too!
I made my sister the baby gift and already sent those, for my anniversary, the hubs and I are going to the Tigers/Yankees game next week. I still need something for my sister's anniversary, dh and BFF's birthday, though.
I'm making some of these for Mother's Day filled with little goodies:
I just ordered these for my dd's preschool teachers that we love so much:
What are you guys making/buying for Mother's Day (or anything else coming up)?

May is busy for me too!
DH has a birthday (I bought him a Nintendo DS XL because his other one had too small of a screen and he was having a hard time playing it). Really the old one is mine that he took over and I haven't had a chance to play it for a few years, so I might start again.
Mother's Day isn't a problem anymore - my mil and favorite aunt passed away in the past year, so I have noone to buy for.
Lily and Tyler (twin grandchildren) will be 6 on the 13th. We have always been there for their birthdays but will miss the actual date this year. We are going to California later this month with my son, dil and other granddaughter and will celebrate then. I have already bought them most of their gifts when we were there in March and the rest I can pack in the suitcase. We'll be going to Disneyland (since my dd and sil worek at Disney TV Animation, they were able to get free passes for all of us. We usually go once a year but this will be the first time for son, dil and gd.
Later in the month I have my sister's birthday. She a regular Martha Stewart and has large gardens, raises chickens - I always try to buy her stuff for the outdoors - such as a bottle tree, bird baths, wire baskets, etc.

Wow! You are one busy girl! We only have Mother's Day to look forward to in May. But we get bombarded with 5 b-days, 1 Anniversary, and X-mas all in December.

Don't have anyone to buy for on MOther's Day...my sisters in law don't want anything, and I have no mother. My sister has never exchanged gifts with me, and i have to work all that weekend anyway.

I'm talking my sister into a girl's day with my mom- mani/pedi, lunch, going to bath and body works, and whatever else my mom wants to do.

I have DD, mine and my Dad's birthday in May. Plus Mother's Day of course. I just started a card for my MIL and I am going to make her something else. My Mom, I never know what to get her. DD is easy to shop for. It sucks that DD will be in Florida with her Dad for Mother's day and my birthday

I just have my sister's birthday and my stepdad's birthday in May, plus Mother's Day. My sister's packages went in the mail today, since her birthday is May 1st. Still don't know what I'm doing for my stepdad. He is hard to buy for! I think I'm going to get my mom some jewelry making supplies for Mother's Day, and we don't buy for MIL. (That's a whole *other* story, LOL!)

have no one to make/buy gifts for Mother's Day anymore. I will send a card to DD and one to DH's elderly aunt but no gifts. However, DD's b'day is the 16th, adorable GS's bday is 26th and a couple friends are May 1 and 2 so have been busy making cards. Grandson will be 3 and DD says he "wants" a guitar. lol And these days, usually send DD g/c's to buy whatever she wants or needs. If she lived closer by about 2800 miles, we would shop together for her birthday. sigh
Oh and my b'day is the 19th and I have to drop "hints" to the families on both sides too.

DS's birthday is May 5th....I already warned him there's no way I can top last year (the digi photo frame that everyone here helped me with), he laughed and agreed with me. Anyone have new ideas for this year?

I just want to sleep through Mothers Day this year. Just reading all these posts has my choked up and I'm doing my best to hold back the tears. I don't want anything for Mother's Day this year either....I really just want it to pass quickly so I can move on to the next holiday without my mom. I'm just glad I will have scrapping to occupy me!!

I got the necklace on etsy... I was going to look around here, but clicking that "buy" button was so much faster.

Don't feel bad about feeling that way...my mom passed away 30 years ago and I can still take Mother's Day or leave it. I get a little tired of all the fuss, when you don't have someone to fuss over!

As far as mother's day, not sure what I'm going to do for my mom, if anything. She's mad at me and won't talk to me so not sure what to do about that.....just so you know, I've tried making amends but she's hanging onto a lifetime of grudges. She's also having surgery on the 11th....don't know what to do about that either.
BUT on a much happier note, my kids have something up their sleeve for me for mother's day. I love surprises:) LOL My DS also turns 30 in May so we're planning a party for him. He doesn't like surprises like I do so he knows it's happening......party pooper! LOL
Oh and I'm also going to two concerts in May with some of my besties!

Well......... My sister b-day is the 8th and we are planning a surprise party for her. I told "E" I would get back with him on the details, since I know it's his b-day that same week.
My Mom passed 14 yrs ago, seems like yesterday, and step-mom 5 yrs this month. I usually make flowers for the cementary.
