My husband bought me a late Christmas present and it is the most awesome camera..I love it!! I have heard a lot of good things about Canon cameras but have never had one til now and I think I am going to be really happy with the quality of prints I will get from it.
What kind do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?

I had a Canon a long time ago and loved it. Right now I have a Kodak. It is so nice. The best feature that I like, is that when you take a vertical picture, I don't have to flip it on the computer. The camera show the picture to you the way you took it and then that is the way it uploads.

I have a Canon DSLR - a Rebel Eos T1i - and I am in love with it. I don't really do much playing around with it...just usually use automatic, but the quality of the prints I get amazes me. I was confident when I bought it that it would be great because I had a Canon before this....PowerShot S3...and I loved that one but wanted the power and ability to change lenses of a DSLR. I work in the Arts & Humanities office at a college here in NJ and one of our professors is a professional photographer who has many accolades and awards, includung a Guggenheim Enbdowment which is HUGE, so when I was shopping I asked his advise. I told him my budget and he suggested this camera. So coming from an award-winning photographer, I have no regrets about my choice! Plus I got VERY lucky in that the day I was looking at the camera on Amazon they came out with a deal...I got my camera, a 55-250mm lens and a Canon Pixma Pro Wide Format Printer for about $900 total after rebate. It basically equated to getting a $500 printer for CLOSE TO FREE!

Prior to my Canon's I had Olympus cameras and was generally happy with them, however they were just P&S cameras with very small zooms.

I have a Nikon DSLR - a D60 (or D40 I can't remember) Unfortunately the lens is broken at the moment- I knocked it off the side of the house. I live in the armpit of the world for having access to things, so I am just going to have to wait until I can afford a new lens rather than send it away to see if it can be fixed. So right now I am using a crappy Samsung point and shoot camera. I love my Nikon!!!! :(

Canon Rebel EOS T1i. LOVE IT!! Only had point-and-shoot digitals before. Easy to use, not bad to learn how, awesome pictures. Prints are great too. As soon as I can, I'm going to get a longer-range lens--definitely before re-enactment season starts!!

I had a canon powershot a630, which was good for outdoor pictures. Indoor shots s---. So I hinted around that for Christmas, I would really like a new camera. Well, my DH spent about a month on the computer looking at several different cameras. Finially he found one!!! SO, I got a panasonic Lumix dmc-fz35. I can not believe how wonderful this camera is. It is GREAT! Love it! He found it on amazon for a great deal. Still learning everything on it, but I thank him every time I get the perfect picture. I will have to post a picture of the snow taken from inside the dining looking thru the glass door. It looks like I was standing outside.

I'm a longtime Canon fan. I have an old film Canon AE-1 with a bunch of lenses, a Canon rebel Xsi (known as "baby brother") and the newest one a Canon Rebel T1i with my fav 50mm/1.8 lens as my walkaround. :) Techy gadgets makes me happy!

I have a Canon Rebel XT. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. It's like the gift that keeps on giving. When I first got it, it was wonderful just to push the button and have it actually take the picture, and not have to wait for it to focus or meter or just TAKE the darn thing. Now, I have really been practicing all the modes on it and I'm having a lot of fun. I am able to shoot in manual mode most of the time, or in Aperture or Shutter priority when appropriate. It's just totally awesome. (Now that I have all this information on SLR cameras, I have to upgrade. I want one with more ISO and better focal points) Instead of "knowledge is power" it should be "knowledge is expensive". :-D

I have a NIKON D60 SALE and love it. I also have a Fuji F45 point and shoot that lives in my purse. It's actually pretty responsive for a point and shoot. I like it enough that I bought a refurbished one on eBay for DS. I also have an Olympus water proof point and shoot to take underwater. I don't like that one as well simply because the response is a little slower and it writes to the memory card slower, but it takes nice pictures. Can you tell I'm a camera freak?

My main camera is a Nikon D80 DSLR -- I love the flexibility of all the lens options.

My secondary camera is a Canon PowerShot SX210 IS for when I don't want to manage a large camera. I just got it for Christmas and haven't used it much, but so far it has been taking great photos -- not grainy and no weird colors like the P&S it replaced. I'm tempted to use it as my primary camera and just use my DSLR for specific occasions.

I have a Canon SD1300 IS and absolutely love it! It fits in my purse, has a great digital zoom and bounces well each and every time I drop it (lost count on # of times THAT happened ) - I have only had it 6 months and still don't know everything about it but crazy about it!!
