I am not good with making up screen names, so the m is my initial of my first name and gehrke is my last name. Not very creative I know.ChrissyTina wrote:What is the meaning behind your screen name? (I haven't checked your bio.....figured I'd give a you a post to add to your count!)
But he is the biggest kid I have at home. Lol..... Both of my girls still live at home. The oldest works fulltime and goes to college fulltime. It is so expensive for her to live on her own and pay for school. My youngest just graduated high school last summer. She now has a fulltime job and will be starting school this spring. I am happy to still have both of them at home. They help with the oldest kid (their dad).Croppinmama wrote:Ok...we need to get you to the next level!! Here goes...do you have any kids still living at home? (your husband doesn't count, lol).
I work for an Insurance company. I was recently put on a project to start getting business in electronically. I will be training our employees and the agents on how to use the new system. My first trip is already booked for next week. I will be going to Chicago for 2 days. Then the following week I will be heading to Houston for 2 days. This month is going to be a very busy starting next week. So I am kind of enjoying not having anything to work on right at this moment.scrappie_stacie wrote:You mentioned you are at work... what do you do?
I have lived in MN for 36 years now. I was born in CA and my dad's job was closing. He was born and raised in MN and mom was from CO. So dad found a new job in MN and here we are. I was 10 when we moved to MN.blbabe1234 wrote:How long have you been living in Minnesota?
I paper scrap. As far as my favorite line..........honestly I really don't have one. If I like the paper I buy it. I have only been scrapping for a year now, and really don't know the lines. I buy most of my paper at Joann's, because I have bought most of the card stacks. Otherwise I buy single sheets for almost everywhere. If it catches my eye I buy it.lastonehom wrote:I didn't read up on your bio either.... Do you paper scrap or digi scrap?
What is your favorite scrappy line?
I guess it wasn't too bad. The worst part for a 10 year old is to leave all of the friends and then have to start all over making new ones. However, it was kind of fun. My mom drove the car and my dad drove the truck. We also had to have a moving company for all of the big stuff. There are 4 of us kids so mom took 2 at a time and dad took the other 2. Every time we stopped we could switch places. Oh and we had 2 dogs too. So of course 1 was in the car and the other in the truck.Croppinmama wrote:Was it difficult to move at age 10?
Thank you so much for the advice. I forgot what normal was likelastonehom wrote:Ooooh I love MN! Do you live close to an Archivers?
Don't stress about graduation, and the relationship w/ your daughter. They always go thru this 'I'm graduating soon and I know everthing' stage. It will pass, graduation will happen, and after a few bumps, they will return to normal:-D
Start planning now. If you need to rent tables, chairs, tent and such, get a firm date for your party now and get your reservations in with the rental company. We decided the last minute to get a tent for the party due to the weather and we called all over the place. No one had any left. Fortunatly someone cancelled and the company called me. So I was able to get it but oh the stress was terrible.Croppinmama wrote:My oldest is 17 and is graduating in June. These past few weeks have been tough between us. Since you have been through it 2 times....any tips???
I am in MN and have lots of snow. Our snow started early. Back on Dec 12 we got over 2 feet, but that was after 2 other storms that came through. We keep getting 3-4 inches here and there so it keeps piling up. We just got another 5 inches yesterday. It has been very cold. Right now it is on 7 degrees but with the wind chill it feels like 9 below zero. At least the sun is out.meteechtap wrote:Are you snowed in where you are today? If not what is the weather like today?
