sometimes it is a pain to get on the page!!
(Don't tell me to digi scrap ladies-----not an option!)

I'm talking about the ones with the great swirls and rhinestones!! I either break the glue line getting it off and out of the package or I pop off rhinestones all over the place and then have to hunt down my tweezers to squeeze them back in!!

I must be doing something wrong!! :?

I cut the clear plastic (that the bling is on) in half. I cut right up to the bling and then carefully lift the bling off the plastic just enough to cut the plastic under it, the lay the bling back down and finish cutting across the plastic. After I have the plastic cut in half with my bling still on the plastic I lay it all down where I'm wanting to put it on my layout. Then I carefully remove one half of the plastic and then the other half. Hope this helps and I didn't confuse you more. LOL!

I use my exacto knife to kinda loosen all of the edges and then peel. Never really had any prolems with it seperating this way. Admittedly I am not a HUGE bling user so not a ton of experience here. I also use the exacto to place things so my fingers and my nails never get in the way.

Definitely take Angela's advice! She uses bling better and more originally than any scrapper I know! Did you happen to see this or this? So amazing!!!

I find that the brand of bling makes a big difference. Zva is the best at holding it's shape. I slide my Xacto knife carefully under the bling and just keep sliding it, gently lifting the bling off the plastic backing as I go along. I can then place it down where I want it without it getting all out of shape. Now other brands are a different story. I refuse to take most other blings off of the backing, especially the words and names by MAMBI. I did it once and yikes never again. What I do when using those is I use my micro tip Cutterbee scissors with the non stick blades and I carefully cut the backing all the way to the bling and trim all the backing off. I use the micro tip to snip off all pieces of backing that show. If there are individual letters involved then I cut out each on separately. Then I turn it over and use my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and scribble glue on the backing behind the bling, then just glue it down. You can't tell it is still on the backing because everything that shows is cut off, and you can't see the glue underneath either. Once it dries it stays in place beautifully.

I would do that do if I was nearly as talented with bling as you ladies -- instead I stick to smaller swirls that I can reasonably manage :)

I had this happen to me too. I agree - the brand makes a big difference. Only I'm not a brand person so I can't really help you with this. But thanks for the question, It help me out too.

I will admit that printed out digi bling is just not the same as real 3D bling! :(

Great hint, Angela. TFS. I hope I remember it the next time I use bling.
