No one cares about your blog.

Yes. I have a shirt that says that. "No one cares about your blog."

But... Perhaps it's the ennui that I've been experiencing the last few days talking, but it sounds like creating a blog might be kind of fun...

I still think that having a blog is a bit egomaniacal, but I'm thinking about writing one. I've never done this before, and I'm starting from scratch. Tell me...

Blogger, blogspot, wordpress... Which one should I choose? What's the difference?

Any tips?

I'm thinking of names, and I've come up with: No One Cares About Your Scrapbooking Blog, I Am My Favorite Scrapbooker, You may be a scrap celeb but I'm skinnier than you, Koala Kreations, and Ghetto Scrappin. Any other ideas?

Yeah, I ended up starting one just because I wanted a place to post my stuff for different challenges. I think most people use blogspot...it's difficult to find a name that isn't taken. Sadly all the good ones haven't been updated since their first post in 2001 either. But, it looks like you've got some unique ideas (of course!) so you might not have much trouble.

I like this one best: I Am My Favorite Scrapbooker

Just jump in and do it. I know you will rock the blog!

I thought blogger and blogspot were the same. Maybe they once were different and then merged.

I like "I Am My Favorite Scrapbooker." I don't have a blog. Actually, I don't know how people find the time to blog and I would be afraid some weirdo would be reading all about my business. I guess I'm a little paranoid about stuff like that. I don't even have Facebook. I know, I'm living in the dark ages, but I like it that way. LOL Good luck on starting your blog. You have an interesting and exciting life, so I'm sure you won't have any problem finding people to follow you. As far as starting one, sorry I can't be any help in that department. Don't forget to give us the link once you get it up and running.

I use my main blog as a sort of journal for myself. I am always surprised to find out others read it too! My other blog (the altered art one) is where I put my ...shocker here...altered art. lol

I've had a blog for about four years, use blogspot and would read yours of course!

Blogger is free and what most people use- I think you pay for Wordpress.
I like I Am My Favorite Scrapbooker and I bet that one isn't taken yet!

I follow only a handful of blogs and it's definitely to peek at all their LOs and crafts in detail. But if you had one, I'd probably read it just for the vocabulary lesson! (I had to look up ennui :? ). Well, that and the juicy details of your love life would keep me coming back. My vote is for "No One Cares About Your Scrapbooking Blog". It's witty, like you. Good luck with it. I have a feeling the main color will be .......... pink?

Well, now that I have blog phobia (kidding!!!!).....no seriously blogs are kinda fiun. I don't have a million followers or give stuff away to get some but I have about 90 people that follow mine and all I do is post my layouts and usually the story behind the picture, etc. if I haven't done a lot of journaling on the front. And because do a lot of challenges from other sites/blogs, you have to have a blog for them to see your pages. It is fun...I don't go crazy with the backgrounds and all, just whatever I find out there for free. I use Blogspot but have used Typepad in the past. Blogspot is just easier for me because I use Picassa to crop my layouts after I take a picture and with the press of a button I can also publish that layout to my blog.
As for names, all of them were good but alittle on the long side to type in as a URL. My favorite is I Am My Favorite Scrapbooker so maybe initials.... IAMFS. Then people will wonder what the hell that meant!!

I didn't know what that meant either...but am way too lazy to look it up. I just inserted another word in the sentence in my blonde brain and moved along! LMAO!

I started mine to show my family my scrapbook stuff, but then they all joined Facebook so I stopped using it. I was thinking about picking it back up too. I also was on a bunch of teams then so I pimped their stuff. Don't know what I'd do with it now, so that's what's kept me from starting again.

I would totally read your blog if you had one, you crack me up!

um I don't get blogs, never had one.. don't read them now... and I really don't get facebook either.. though I have that.. mainly just to keep in touch with friends back home. I just don't get the whole.. "look at me! look what I did today everyone... though I don't really know any of you very well" thing.. then there's the "oh crap I've run out of things to say" blog that goes something like.. "I got up this morning brushed my teeth.. petted the cat for a while till it scratched me and ran away.. then I got up to cook eggs.. stubbed my toe.." later that day.. "update to say thanks! to all the people asking about my toe, it hurt wicked bad! but I think it'll be ok.. thank you ALL sooooo much for caring about me!!! I love you ALL!!1!!!"

ugh

edit to say: I like the name of this post for your blog though.. which is why I opened the post in the first place lol thought it would be funny
