...with the state of Utah! I decided to take an impromptu trip with my kids up to Utah to go visit my mom. She lives in Stansbury Park (about 30 min outside of Salt Lake). I must say that all you gals that live there are absolutely LUCKY! I fell in love! We went to see the canyons and the resorts! Since I'm an outdoorsy type, I was in hog heaven! I took some awesome photos and can't wait to up them on some awesome paper!

I know. Utah is amazing. I think they have more national parks than any other state. The diversity of the land in one state is incredible. And the people are kinda nice too. (my niece lives in provo.)
Let's see if we can get a photo excursion to go up to zion, bryce and arches and grandcanyon sometime.....
that would be a dream.

Whenever I cross country to visit Kansas, I drive through Salt Lake City... it's a horrible nightmare therefore I try to avoid Utah at all costs :P Now, if I didn't HAVE to drive through SLC, I might actually enjoy Utah!
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!

That would be awesome! I almost detoured through Zion on the way home yesterday. I definitely want to see arches too! I think it might turn into an "every summer" kind of trip. My kids love it there!

Glad you had such a wonderful trip and got some great photos. Can't wait to see your scrappy pages.

I love Utah too. there are such beautiful and interesting things to see. In May each year they have a reenactment of the driving of the Golden Spike where the railroads met and I have such great pix of when we were there for that. There is the biggest copper mine in the world there too. It can be seen by satellite from outer space it is so big. And the dinasaur park is awesome for folks with little kids. The Parks in the southern part of Utah are awesome. I have several albums of our trips to Utah. SLC's history is also fantastic and interesting etc.
I have inlaws that live there and I get to visit nearly every year. Oh and when we were stick gals, I met a nice lady onhere that lives about 2 miles from the inlaws, and we are still very good friends. She has even been to California to see me.

Well, since I was born and raised in Utah, I have to agree! The people are friendly and the scenery is beautiful whether you're in Northern or Southern Utah!! My family still lives in Provo, so I go up there often. I was wishing that I was up there this past week since it was almost 115 degrees every day this week in Las Vegas
Too much hot!!!!

I have always wanted to go to Utah. I want to see the Beehive House and all the state parks. Plus the Best Friends animal ranch is there. Not to mention all the scrapbook stores.
I agree, we are big outdoor enthusiasts (my DH won't let me use the word "outdoorsy") and have hiked some trails and biked at Moab which was the hardest bike ride I have ever been on! Beautiful landscapes and amazing parks and when you're from a wet climate like we are, the desert getaway is awesome!

My mom and stepdad live right around the point from that copper mine. It is pretty impressive.
