Eeek! I haven't worked full time since before my kiddos were born (twelve years ago!) I've applied to a teaching position at my kids school. There's been a lot involved. My poor blog has been so neglected as has the crafting table. I hope this isn't a sign of what is to come if I get the job. BUT, I know that I will have to scale down. For SURE I will have to get more organized! LOL Anyway, yesterday I had to teach a lesson in front of the Principal and a bunch of other teachers. Yikes! So glad it's over. Hopefully I'll know in a week or two if I'll have a position!
GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh wow, what a big change. I was a teacher in my previous life too. Not sure if I will ever go back but who knows. I would be so nervous having to do a lesson like that. Good luck.
good luck with all the changes
Fingers crossed for you!
I used to be a "celebrity cherry", but now I'm in re-hab...... Holy Carp!
I am sure you are a great scrapbook teacher Julie, and no doubt your teaching skills really shined in that interview/lesson - so don't fret - I bet you were fabulous!!
Must you go back to work full time? Are you bored? Man, I would give anything not to have to work full time - I am not blogging near as much as I used to, nor scrapping either. My dream would be to sell Arbonne on my own schedule, and fit in actualy workout time daily and an hour minimum for scrapping. I am praying in 3 yrs time that my clientele will have grown enough to allow me to do that. I do like my FT job fine, but it so lacks creative outlet - I want to be passionate about what I am doing - creating and helping people.
That said, because I think I just went off track here...(sorry)... do what you are passionate doing. If it is teaching kids - awesome! Think about where you want to be 5 yrs from now, and will the teaching job get you there, be a part of it. I took this job because it was available and I needed it, but in the long run... I hope it is not in my 5 yr picture or I will not be living the life that God has gifted me for.
If you are meant to return to teaching, I will pray that you get the job. God knows what is best for you!

Good luck to you! I've always found that the busier I am the more I get done. You can't put it off because there's no other time to do it.

I have a son and work full time and manage to scrap at least twice a week. It's very fulfilling being able to do a good job at the office and at home. Enjoy it.

Good luck! I have been thinking about going back to work, mainly to give myself something concrete to do each day....I put my name in as a sub para at a local school - I figure that might be best to start. DH seems to be very against it.

Will be praying for you. Good thing you have taught before so you know that teaching is more than full time. I went back to work almost full time when my youngest started school, but not as a teacher, as a para instead. This way when my hours are done, I am done. Unfortunately the pay isn't much, but I am keeping my foot in the education door as I work on a masters.
