I am packing for my first real life crop in a long time and I am feeling very disorganized. My DH got me a new tote and everything (mine had years of solid use) and I have all my bags I am bringing out in the hall. I know all my gear will be in PERFECT order, but I can't make myself any plans or sketches and if I don't have those I never get anything done or turn out garbage. UGH.

THanks, I really should use the ACOT things to help me get moving. I just packed a few inspiring pics I only take on small file folder of them instead of my usual 4 bug boxes I have here so thats hard. I am not a light packer lolmilmomma wrote:What about making a spreed sheet of the challenges. Print it out. Along with the sketchs/ad inspr. Then you could do those?

I usually pick the photos that i want to scrap first and then work around those...

this crop, is it at a lss store where you can buy anything if you've forgotten something or if you find there is something you want that yu don't have on you? if that is the case, don't stress!!!

and definitely, first decide on the pictures you want, then pick your coordinating papers... from there add any embellies that you may want to put with it. if you have the lg plastic ziplock baggies, you can store each LO idea separately in a baggie to keep everything together. saves a good hour of sorting your bags(s) when you first get to the crop!
oh, always take a pen and tablet of paper with you so you can write down ideas for journaling or anything you want to remember for page ideas later on!

I am so unorganized when I got to Crops, too. I generally pack as much as I possibly can and I still forget stuff. My biggest thing is making sure that I have my cutters, scissors and adhesive. Other than that, buy what else you need if you forgot anything.

It's not really the packing that makes me ill it's thinking about choking when I get there.
I am not completly packed, I did pick out my pictures and I do have vague ideas od what I want to do with them and I now and I am packing brads (that is a chorse going through piles and piles and only packing one small case of em lol) Then I just have ribbon and stamps and then PAPER which will be the biggest pain... oh and I am cutting some stuff on my cricut- pretty much at random at this point. I am really going to have to take a picture of my 'light' packing when I am done lol!!

somewhere on here there is a post about sketch sites - I'll try to find it. I have a binder of sketches that I use all the time!

I'm packing for a crop this weekend too. I leave on Thursday. I think I'm packed but still not sure. I think I'll take advantage of the sketch sites that others have posted, it sounds like a good idea to me. I also tried to pack light, but I don't think that really happened for me either. Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a great time!!!

I have 2 advantages when packing for crops these days. First the crops that I am getting ready to attend are only 6 hours long. Realistically I am only going to get 14-15 pages done if I chat AT ALL so I really don't need to take all that much stuff to the crop...
And secondly I really just don't have that much "stuff" to start with. Makes it easier to pack "it all" when you don't have a whole lot. LOL The only things I REALLY need to take with me are my adhesive and a ton of refills (only cause I use Walmart's AdTech and I am CHEAP!), my cutter, and my pictures - everything else falls under things I can pick up later if I have to. Although I do have to say that part of my attitude on that comes from the fact that my LSS is literally 4 doors down from a JoAnn's in the same strip mall and then that is right by a Dollar Tree. LOL Meaning that even when I do go to a crop I don't have to pay the prices at the LSS... Wow are they pricey!!
Hope everything shakes out for you on this and it gets less nauseating the closer you get to leaving...

Hi, I recommend going to pagemaps.com and print off the last year of sketches. they come out nicely on 8.5 x 11 paper. Won't take long and will fit easily in a tote.
