What is one item in your house you should throw out or donate to goodwill, but probably never will?

not sure on this one - we're pretty good about constantly getting rid of things.
DH would say the little people - I can't get rid of them...they are timeless! Plus, we still have littler kids over from time to time.

Probably all the little baby outfits from my two boys!!!!!!!!!!! I have tried to keep them to a minimum, but with them both having some of the same and then different ones, I keep quite a few. I will not have the strenghth to give them away or sell them though:-D .

Well let's put it this way... we moved to columbus over 3 years ago and we still have an off site storage unit that we never go to. I'm thinking the whole thing can be gotten rid of at this point. If we haven't needed it in 3 years, I don't think we're going to need it EVER! My husband is the packrat. If it were up to me I'd open the door up for an entire weekend and put a big sign on the road.... FREE STUFF!

My wedding dress! I know I will never get to wear it again... I really should pass it on but I just can't bring myself to do it!

What a great question! I find it hard to part with the cards that my friends and family send me. I think it's okay to keep many of them, but I also keep the more impersonal ones that just say, "Happy Birthday, Love Aunt Patsy." I just think that if someone took the time to send it to me, I should keep it!

Gosh, where would I begin. Just set a dumpster in the front yard and I'll have a clean house in no time.
Seriously 1/2 of the attic is filled with stuff that belonged to DH's grandma (not antiques, just old junk). I would get rid of it in a minute if he wouldn't have a heart attack!
I also agree about the wedding dress, would really like to let it go, but just can't seem to.

Good question---
----My 10-speed bike (I don't ride hardly ever , but the boys sometimes do)
---Articles of clothing that my mother has sewn for me--(I can get rid of any store bought items, but I always feel guilty about things she made special for me)
---My mom's extra sweing machine---(it only gets cleaned once a year when she visits--other than that it doesn't come out of the closet!!)

Some of my grandmother's belongings. I have her little table top Christmas tree, a couple of her dresses and a wicker trunk. None of these things are old and none of them have any real memories tied to them, but I can't bring myself to get rid of them.
Leslie, I started saving every card or letter I was given when I was 8. All of them!! A few years ago my mom found a couple of my first birthday cards to add to my collection as well. People think I'm nuts because I have every card my husband ever gave me - and we've known each other for 23 years! Oh, and I've saved every one of my kids cards, too!
