Do you have an electric or crank can opener???
We only have a crank....I hate the electric ones.

Well, after we got caught in our first hurricane with only an electric one, we learned a valuable lesson: crank is good! My dd sells Pampered Chef and gave E one of those for Christmas to replace our old crank one. Love it!

Crank here! DH bought a battery one for Christmas one year, and the batteries died half way opening a can, and it was stuck! It took everything to loosen it cos it wouldn't let go, and the opening of the thing was underneath, so if you flipped it over, all the soup would fall it! Dumb invention! Love the crank kind.. I have a red Kitchen Aid one.

We have both, but the electric one has to sit on a charger. It's the kind that runs around the top of the can itself. I got tired of the charger sitting on the counter, so it got thrown in a drawer and I just use the crank one.

I have a Hamilton Beach electric can opener. It's the best one I ever had. We bought it about 10 yrs. ago and it's still going strong. What I like about it is that it keeps the top from falling into the can. You can also remove the working part and put it in the dishwasher.

I have an electric one that mounts under the kitchen cabinet that I really like.
But there are also crank ones in the drawer in case of hurricanes!!!
